Gorgon's Eye is a card that receives little play in my region. So, I have a question or two about this card.
(1) Does it negate effect of monster cards flipped face up during battle?
(2) Flipped into face up defense position by effect of spell/trap cards?
The following is why I am asking this question: In a recent tournament the following happend.
Player A has a face up attack position Jinzo on the field.
Player B has a set Gorgon's Eye, Ring of Destruction and Barrel Behined the Door. On his turn he summons Pharaonic Protector. Next he activates Book of the Moon targets Jinzo placing him in face down defense position. He then activates Gorgon's Eye, attacks Jinzo following with the RoD BBtD combo inflicting enough damage to win the duel.
Player A says this is not legal because Jinzo negates the effect of traps. I ruled this was a legal move.
Was I correct?
Thanks
