Effect Monster (Fairy / WIND / 3 Stars / ATK 1300 / DEF 1200)

This card can only be Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned when there is a "Butterfly Dagger - Elma" on your side of the field. When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned successfully, you can equip 1 appropriate Equip Spell Card in your Graveyard to this card.

Increase the ATK of a monster equipped with this card by 300 points. When this card is equipped to a monster, and is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, this card can be returned to the owner's hand.

What garbage today. First off, was "Guardian Elma" ever used even before the Dagger got banned for life? Granted you still could use her if you wanted to. Just set her and use "Ceasefire" to turn her face up or "Book of Taiyou", but why would you want to? You wouldn't even get her effect, not that it was all that special anyway.

As for "Butterfly Dagger - Gearfried", the only time this showed up was in a "Gearfried the Iron Knight" deck or a "Woodland Sprite" deck when people thought they had an easy win and neglected to read that "sent to graveyard" does not mean "destroyed". Given that "Spell Absorbtion" is out now, you might see this in a Traditional deck, but it seems so much easier to just Pigeon-lock your opponent in that case. Might as well just put this pair back in the binder and say "look, I have a complete Dark Crisis set!" cause that's about all they're worth having.

well, for the woodland sprite loop, it was just extended:

Woodland Sprite on field
Equip it with Swords of Deep-Seated
Send it via effect, it goes to the top of the deck
Gearfried and RML also face-up, use elma on gearfried 3 times
draw a card for RML, equip Sword of Deep-Seated to Woodland Sprite
rinse and repeat

Ehm... isn't that a bit stupid? Why use SoDS + Woodland + Gearfried + Elma + RML when you can leave SoDS + Woodland out of it? They just fill in space where you could put more useful cards like reckless greed or jar of greed in...

I've never used the monster, but I always used the elma + gearfried + RML combo in ALL my exodia decks, too bad I can't use them anymore in advanced :(
 
well, i was giving an example of a way to burn them with a combo, i think it's stupid as well, and far too situational ;)

I personally think this card just needs an errata. For a lot of the cards out there a simple errata is all that is necessary to make them playable once more. For this I think they should add an extra line at the end

Simple enough as the effect only happens once per turn and does not allow for OTKs.

I am completely agree whit you. But please don't say that in front of people that only play in Traditional and like the kind of bugs that can be put out whit this card. They can banned you off instead!!!
 
This card was bound to get banned sometimes so many people were playin this card as an OTK it was ridiculous
