RIP Jacob KT 2/16/06
I sent the following e-mail to a seamstress in springfield mass:

"Dear Frances Twining,
I collect playmats and they are difficult to carry around. When I say playmats, I mean what you can find at http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=Vs.+system+playmat. These playmats are a standard 24x13.5 inches and when tightly rolled up is approximately 1 and 7/16ths inches thick.
My request is simple, I require a length of tough cloth with 3/8th" wide cloths sewn to it so I may tie my playmats to the cloth at both ends (at the 2" and 11.5" mark of the playmat). Ideally, I should be able to roll up this storage device and have a way to hold it closed (possibly with 1/2" wide cloth); I would also prefer a handle so that I may carry it around. I only own 6 playmats right now, but I want this to last me for a long time to come; I feel that 20 is a good number of playmats for this storage device to be able to hold.
Please respond with a quote, You can use whatever materials you have lying around in whatever color (except pink). As long as it stays in once piece I'll be happy.

Sincerely,
Alex Lasky

P.S. It is possible that once others see what you have made me they will desire one for themselves; I travel a lot."

She responded letting me know it would be inexpensive and she would have a layout and quote in two days. It'll be made mostly of canvas.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

For something with all the frills you describe, I expected it to be more. 30$ isn't bad for a custom job.
