When "Harpie Lady" or "Harpie Lady Sisters" is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned to the field, destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. Increase the ATK and DEF of all face-up Winged Beast-Type monsters on the field by 200 points.


One of the newer cards and one that helps give some strength to Harpie decks. The ATK/DEF boost is good and coupled with "Harpie Lady 1", your Wind based Winged Beasts will be quite potent.

The second effect is nicer where you get to destroy 1 Spell or Trap on the field. Keep in mind though that if there are no other Spell/Trap cards on the field, then you must destroy "Harpies' Hunting Ground".

All and all, a fairly solid card in a Harpie deck that will likely be one of its staples.
 
I wanted to make a Harpie deck but I noticed that I can't have more than 3 "Harpie Lady" meaning if I put 3 "Harpie Lady 1", I won't put other "Harpie Lady". Pity ! Then +200 ATK/DEF is poor compared with "Rising Air Current".
 
True, unless they change that ruling somewhat (not likely), it's more a case of building a harpy core wind deck.
I remember the pained look on some poor kids face when I told him about that ruling at the last tournament as he'd been putting together a harpy deck. :(
 
A very cool card that makes Harpie decks quite deadly. Decks that depend heavily on spell and traps will have a hard time against a deck that quickly and frequently summons and resummons Harpie Lady's and Harpie's Sisters. And the Harpie's support each other very well. The power up is not as great as Rising Air Current but the secondary effect makes up for it. If your opponent will be cautious in placing traps and spells then he'll be leaving himself open to be run over be your own spells and traps.
