Has anyone seen these deck boxes?

Yeah, we got them at The Hobby Shop out this way as well. I bought one when they first came out but then ended up not using it. They don't work well with standard size cards in sleeves (like VS and Magic cards). Although they're perfect for YGO size cards in sleeves.

The problem occurse that cards get stuck in them and sometimes they won't close all the way and it's easy for cards to get bent horribly. But beyond that, as long as you're just using it for YGO it's fine.

That is a sweet deck box! So good!

I ordered a couple ... I'll let you guys know what I think when I have them in-hand. (ideal808's shipping is kinda high, but the relatively low price makes up for it)

I'm liking the swivel belt clip and the "leather" covering. Picture the uber-dorkness of walking around with it attached to your waist :D If I was only 25 years younger ....

Lol. I think we all classify as "dorks" on this site. Including myself. :)

But those deck boxes do look cool. I'll have to look out for them next time I go to the shop.

Got 'em (that was fast!).

Meh. It's a cool idea, but the quality is lacking. The lid doesn't really open up enough, needs to be held open with one hand, and the cards are quite hard to get out of there (as compared to what you'd expect). There are rivets on the mechanics that the sleeves get stuck on, too.

I'll be sticking with my Rook Capsules* for now. Perhaps I can give away the second unopened one as a CoG prize or something :D The opened one will get some black electrical tape put over the rivets and get used for something at some point.

4/10. 4 points for concept, 1 point for the fairly nice pseudo-leather covering. -1 point for the sleeve-mangling rivets.

* Which have been fantastic, and all I've ever used but have a small lip that lets exactly one card get stuck underneath it, making your deck suddenly 39 cards if you're not paying attention :D

That's a great idea, but I'll only let you do it (said in a tone as though I actually have any say in it at all) if it's a prize for a contest I'm good at [I'm kidding (No, I'm not)]. *is dead serious*

Really, though, lemme know if it looks like this is gonna become reality. Those things are sweet-looking, even if they don't work properly. Like pop divas! :D :p ;) XD

Dang, you're fast to reply....

Oh, I'm not SELLING it to you! I'll GIVE it to you, but I have to think of some lame condition first <insert evil smirk here>. Besides, I won't be able to mail it until Monday, so we have all weekend to figure out what you must do to get it! Hmmm...... maybe I can even be really evil and send it first, thus making you owe me bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha

Well, I got it this morning. It's positively :ninja:

I agree about the rivets. The electrical tape does seem to do the trick.

It wants to stay closed. Opening it fully requires considerable force. But I suspect that, after 50,000 duels, the leather will be soft enough to stop that problem. It's mostly the stiffness and lack of use that seems to make it want to stay in a fixed position.

When opened all the way, the deck really does come pretty far up. No more popping open the lid and then turning the deck box upside down to get your deck out.

Somehow, though, the whole thing seems a little bulky. Is it my imagination, or is this not exactly a compact, sleek design?

Anyway, overall it's awesome. The inventiveness of it all...

The box has that new car smell to it. :D
