Heavy Mech Support Platform VS Bottomless Trap Hole

Chain resolution dictates that Heavy Mech would be equipped before Bottomless attempts to resolve itself and destroy AGG. So, I would think, Heavy Mech would indeed protect AGG, and get destroyed ITSELF.

Note that Heavy would NOT get rfp-ed. Only destroyed. This is because it would be destroyed by its own effect and not Bottomless.

<EDIT: Grrr...>

Another one of those pesky wording issues. As Rai points out Bottomless does destroy. AFTER that, it removes it from play. As opposed to BLS's effect that just removes from play.

There are rulings such as D.D. Trap Hole and System Down that prove that the monster Heavy Mech Support Platform was equipped too would remain on the field.

With System Down the equipped monster is removed from play and Heavy Mech Support Platform would be destroyed by game mechanics.

In the case of D.D. Trap Hole the equipped monster would remain on the field. Heavy Mech Support Platform is destroyed and the targetted monster is destroyed and removed from play.

Bottomless Trap Hole shouldn't work any different from a mechanical point of view like D.D. Trap Hole. It's attempting to destroy the monster that just got summoned. Heavy Mech Support Platform kicks in and saves that monster from the full effect of Bottomless Trap Hole.

So you ask me what the heck I just said? Pretty much like what the rest of the other answers say. I just went into more detail. <shrugs>

Which is fine. Some rules forums seem to think that elaboaration creates this overload of information where a gamer's head will explode if you add just one more detail. (Any body remember when Kelly Bundy memorized a bunch of sports facts for Game Show until her meter hit FULL?) Thankfully we know better then that.

You mean:

Question:

Local Sports: "Which Polk High player, scored 4 touchdowns in a single game?"

Answer from Kelly:

"Red Squeeze Buzzer"

LOL!
