Hopefully my SJC Seattle Deck

My second favorite deck to my horus lockdown deck is this carbon copy of Igor Kharins Burn Stein deck... i guess i like it cuz it took me alot of time and effort to get the cards and these days, suprisingly it still holds up... no joke. the burn side of this deck is extremely powerfull... i beat alot of diff decks that are normally tournament worthy... its the burn that gives me the win... in this aggro format that is slowly turning towards soul control... burn/stall decks is almost the last thing you'd expect... and people have had so many reviews and articles have been writen on how to beat stein and this type of deck... and guess what... it isnt working... this deck can burn so fast that even soul control cant get to theyr mobius in time... so im thinking if its worthy of surprising some ppl in SJC Seattle... without further ado, heres my Sept 1 build:

MAIN DECK:
3 Cyber-Stein
1 Exiled Force
1 Magician of Faith
1 Morphing Jar
3 Mystic Tomato
3 Nimble Momonga

1 Scapegoat
1 Swords of Revealing Light

2 Barrel Behind the Door
1 Ceasefire
1 Gravity Bind
1 Magic Cylinder
1 Mirror Force
1 Ring of Destruction
3 Secret Barrel

1 Des Koala
3 Just Desserts
2 Lava Golem
1 Mask of Darkness
2 Ojama Trio
3 Stealth Bird
3 Wave-Motion Cannon

...Exiled + Last Will = Cyber Stein so.-

-Barrel Behind the Door x1
-Mystic Tomato x1

+Exiled Force x1
+Last Will x1

my chances are very slim ill have both to pull it off... tomato can pull it off ez and i kinda need barrel cuz ppl think they are smart teching ceasefire and ring on me... i tend to actually use ring on myself just to barrel both ends to my opp... an otk without me taking the risk of atking.

Yes, definately 2x Exiled + 1x Last Will. The combo is so freaking scary that it'll be odd not to add it in a deck that runs 3x Stein. Tomato into Stein does work, but your foe might pull Smashing Ground on it. Exiled + Last Will is MUCH safer overall. The only combo that's better then that in a Stein deck IMO is Zaborg + Last Will. (But that's much harder in a pure Stein build.)

like i said before... what are the chances ill have both exiled and last will to use? not very good... mystic tomato can pull the search all on his own... or i can search reaper or sangan whichever i need depending on the situation... besides i usually set my tomatoes... not really a smashing ground target.
im thinking about replacing one barrel behind the door with the spell absorbing life... its basically like a ceasefire that gives me life instead of dealing dmg... i find myself in need sometimes for that extra boost of life...

The trick to playing Stein is patience. You're not always going to be able to just drop stein. The first thing everyones going to do is accuse a stein deck of being cheesy, but it actually takes great skill. Get the last will and hold it. If you have to hold it for 20 turns hold it, and then drop it just right and Good Game. Trust us, Last Will is essential to running Stein. Plus, if you're not 100% sure you can kill them, last will can summon the Stein in Def making it much harder for them to kill you through stein. Trust us when we say, use Last will.

You don't get it. I lost twice to this. Although, in a dedicated Stien, I can see your point.

I would drop 1 Barrel and add Torental Trubute and the other for Last Will! With that, you can TT any of your own monsters, last will and get Stien. Same thing as Exile Force + Last will.

Also, Premature Burial costs, I would use Call of the Haunted to save LP. Also, you can CotH and Giant Trunade to activate Last will!

Also, Ring your Sangon and Last Will. Last Will CAN be very versitile!

Just Ideas.

What I meant is, They attack your face-down Tomato (or whatever) and then you pull out Stein, THEN they use Smashing Ground your Stein in main-phase 2. I didn't really meant Smashing Ground your Tomato directly. I'm not saying take out Tomato, just keep the Tomato and run 2x Exiled and Last Will IMO.

Really, Last Will in a Stein deck is VERY VERY SCARY.

And yeah, I would put Torrential and take out the Barrel Behind the Door. I would put like 1x in sidedeck or something. But I do agree that Ring of D + Barrel Behind combo is just sick...

my problem isnt stein at all... i always have stein... i can get stein whenever... my problem is that i dont get the other pieces... i usually have megamorph or limiter but i dont get the required backfield removal to launch a successfull attack... it is true that with stein you have to be patient... but thats the problem sometimes... i dont get the pieces quick enough... and my opp drops me below stein range... thats why im thinking spell absorbing life is a good way to gain alot of lp... ill include torrential... ill drop 1 tomato and 1 barrel for 1 spell absorbing and 1 torrential... stein is an otk... if i fail on the turn that i do my move... its hardly worth dragging it on after... i need something more then just giant trunade and heavy, imo... ppl usually save waboku and mind crush or burn... spell absorbing, poison of old man and barrel can take care of burn, im not worried of mind crush so much... its just the waboku that can get annoying.

no it wont work... summon exiled> tribute> last will get stein... stein bring fusion monster but i cant tribute stein for mobius in same turn since exiled was already out... and even if i pull it off somehow, that would prob be a one time chance... there are alot of aggressive decks that will be able to deal with stall and will end up swarming me... i need some awesome tech against that... im thinking cold wave... activate cold wave... summon stein and cyber end... cyber end atk and stein... opps turn he cant play m/t... he'll try to take advantage of stein which can also be fatal to me since i cant protect him... but if i live... in my turn ill be able to summon and cyber end him again which would mean game... its tough, i need something easy with a higher success rate of pulling it off quicker... cold wave ill need to test. last will is only with exiled and exiled i only have 2 of... 2/41 chance AND i need to pull last will... not the greatest in a deck where your looking to otk asap... suggestions?

humm u don´t understand my point.-

Player A has a Monster on the field.
Player B has 2 S/T and a Monster in Atk position.
Player A sacrifice his monster on the field and summons mobius, and destroys player´s B S/T, then activate "last will" and summons "Cyber Stein"...

the rest u know what happens, but if u don´t wanna use "Last Will" I understand

-1 barrel behind the door
-1 gravity bind
-1 mirror force
-1 level limit area b
-1 mystic tomato
+2 mystic wok
+1 torrential
+1 exiled
+1 last will

gotta love mystic wok

lord hades, think of a worse situation... a situation where i actually dont have a monster to begin with... my opp wont just sit there idly unable to do anything, even with gravity bind... he will find ways to remove monsters... please keep in mind the chances that these combos you guys suggest may arrise... sure they arent impossible, but i need combos that require as less time and as less cards needed to pull off as possible... combos all work well in theory if you ahve the cards... but in real life, getting them isnt so easy... considering i have to keep myself defended and my life above 5000 for stein and pull off these combos... you have to provide a good probability to pull these combos... because if not... they will end up dead draws... so the least i will need is combos to which cards dont relly on one another but that can be used in any situation independently... last will isnt such a card and without exiled it would be useless... same with mobius (sort of) he will just be a big thorn that my opp will just take out the next turn...

...actually playing a Full Stein deck is not too wise, shure, you can try it out but is very hard to pull it up and really easy to counter it, so don´t expect godly combos dude, like I said before if u don´t want to use "Last Will" don´t use it...

well my maind deck is actually the burn... stein will be the side and i will hardly use it cuz im not comfortable... i preffer the burn because the speed and amount of burn it can do is incredible and its something seatle wont expect in this aggressive meta... normally id be worried since monarch control is out... but luckily... thestalos and zaborg are the ones shining this season and mobius will only be played as one copy, at best 2.
