Horus Black Flame Dragon Lvl 6 ...

One burning question to pop across our gaming a lot is... With Horus the Black Flame Dragon LVL 6 on Player A's side of the field, Player B has a Fairy type monster in attack position WITH The Sanctuary in the Sky as a field spell card in play. If Player A attacks with his Horus LVL 6 through the Fairy monster, does he still do Battle damage to the player provided Horus' Attack is bigger than the Fairy?
My conclusions on this are... Because Horus is unaffected by spell cards, The Sanctuary in the Sky can not govern his battle damage to opponent through a fairy-type monster.

Others have said, He would NOT do battle damage because the field card is not directly affecting Horus but the fairy that he just destroyed.

I believe I am correct on this, and as such, does he go through Clock Tower Prison with 4 counters on it? As does Silent Swordsman LVL 5? Neither can be affected by spell cards so they should be able to go through and deal battle damage.

Neither effect affects "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6". They affect battle damage done to the opposing player. Once it attacks, his damage tries to go through, but his battle damage inflicted is not part of the actual card. Instead, it tries to inflict itself upon the opposing player, however, "The Sanctuary in the Sky" or "Clock Tower Prison" with 4 Clock Counters makes the battle damage become 0.

i dont think horus lv 6 negates anything...HE is unaffected...since sanctuary in the sky does not affect/target horus lv 6 there is no interaction there, also, sanctuary in the sky keeps the controller ( of fairys) from recieving battle damage.... not monster...so your attack would go through, kill opponents monster, and he would not take lifepoint loss from the battle....

more or less - yes - they affect damage to the player ( as opposed to monster - like waboku, which does both) and have nothing to do with the attacking monster
