Horus LV6 control

This is about how Horus LV6 reacts to Creature Swap...
Please let me know if its possible to use Creature Swap on Horus LV6 so that the player with Horus LV6 would gain a free monster, without his Horus switching over... i understand that Blindly Loyal Goblin will nullify Creature Swaps effect as it specifically says it cannot be a target of an effect that is trying to gain control of him... also please explain why that is so.

Sure, I'll do my best..;)

P1 has "Blindly Loyal Goblin" and no other monsters.
P2 has x monster.
Neither player can activate "Creature Swap" because "Blindly Loyal Goblin" cannot switch sides. He is an illegal choice.
The effect of "Creature Swap" isn't 'nullified'. It can't even be activated in the first place..lol.

Now,
P1 has "Horus LV6" and no other monsters.
P2 has x monster.
Either player can activate "Creature Swap", but it will have no effect. P1 can choose "Horus LV6" to be swapped, but since it is not affected by Spell Cards, it can't/won't switch sides. "Creature Swap" is an 'all-or-nothing' effect. Either both monsters switch or no monsters switch.

Or,
P1 has x monster and "Blindly Loyal Goblin".
P2 has x monster.
Either player can activate "Creature Swap".
P1 MUST choose their x monster since "Blindly Loyal Goblin" is an illegal choice.

Finally,
P1 has x monster and "Horus LV6".
P2 has x monster.
Either player can activate "Creature Swap".
P1 can choose either monster.
If P1 chooses x monster, then both monsters will switch as normal.
If P1 chooses "Horus LV6", then the effect of "Creature Swap" will disappear since "Horus LV6" is unaffected by Spell Cards.

Hope this helps!

There's a difference

Cards like Blindly Loyal Goblin and Mataza the Zapper can't even be selected for Creature Swap while Horus LV6 can be. However, if you pick Horus LV6, his effect means he can't be swapped by a spell card and since Creature Swap needs 2 monsters to switch control, the whole effect is Nerfed.

k, i was under the impression that if the targetting or selecting of the monsters is clear and done for, everything else can go... i thought that the selection of both legal monsters was a prerequisite and as long as that is met, wether the monsters are affected or not is what will decide who switches and who doesnt...

Using logic it would work that way. Of course it would be a broken combo. You gaining a monster for free basically. UDE decided that would be a bad thing and said Creature Swap had to switch both monsters for it to work correctly. It also use to be ruled that you couldn't activate a card that targeted Lv6. After a few months that ruling was changed to what we have now.
