How is Force of the Breaker effecting Japan OCG in YGO?

Just wondering. They got cards like

Gem Beast (Don't know how good this is. Iffy)
New Chaos decks (i.e. those Sky Devil King decks)
New Monarch (It's effect is very good, so fits in Monarch Control very well)

I'm seriously wondering just how good are those new Chaos monsters. I mean, yes, the effect screams broken level, (one's Chaos Sorcerer and another one is mini-CED)but you need to remove 4 monsters, plus it's specifically Light/Fairy and Dark/Fiend only. (Okay, Angel/Demon in Japan) You can't just remove Cyber Dragon/Zaborg/Reaper/Dekoichi/etc. etc. for them. (You have to run cards like even Gellenduo or soemthing for the light/fairy part, although probably just 3x Shining Angel will do the job Norreas. Too bad you can't use Mystic Tomato.) I also heard those monsters are now "nomi". (i.e. "Except by" instead of "Only by") And with Dimension Fusion being 1x per deck, the combo of Norreas + Phoenix Wing Wind Blast + Dimension Fusion is dead. (Although running 1x Dimension Fusion is a good idea, even if taking out Wind Blast)

BTW, there's other YGO chatting forum websites that knows more about Japan OCG right? (To get the info I want)

I have been thinking about making a Chaos deck out of those new Sky Devil Kings.
 
From what I've seen/read Norreras are fairly strong and have placed well in Tournaments, but the main deck still run there is the Cyber-Calibur-Gors deck (Cyber Dragon / Des Calibur Knight / Mesenger of Hades - Gors). So they still have more options than we do. The other one isn't being run as much (since they are both Nomis). But Norreras is definitely being used with a good amount of success.

Really it won't be that hard to build the deck here. Dark World for the Dark Fiends, Airknight Parshath and the other STON SCR Support cards for Light Fairies, Kuriboh Toolbox to help fill in the gaps, and Beckoning Light has synergy with both. See you running it soon.
 
I've heard about Des Calibur Knight, what's it's effect again.

And man, I so want Gors. That card is main deck for ANY decktype. (Like even Gadgets.)

And yeah, I thought about Dark World Chaos. The best Dark/Fiend (Demon) that's top tier decktype is Dark World. So combine that with Norreras (And Gors is also Dark/Fiend) it'll be pretty powerful.

This card cannot be Special Summoned. When the effect of a monster activates you must tribute this monster. Negate the activation of the effect and destroy that monster.

So basically, it's a manditory Divine Wrath. Great against some monsters, not so good against others (Treeborn Frog comes to mind here)
 
Des Calibur Knight is pretty cool. He stops things like Monarchs, Exiled Forces, etc. However, his effect applies to monsters on your side of the field as well. So it could backfire if you summon him too soon. (ex. Treeborn Frog, Snipe Hunter (Yours or opponents), etc.)
 
Also, the Gembeasts are something to look forward to. Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder might actually see some competitive play with these guys. ^_^

I can smell the brokenness of the Gembeasts...
 
Yeah. 3x Sapphire Pegasus is a must. (1800ATK beatstick with free s/t gem beast fueling from deck/hand/grave!) And fueling your s/t zones and using up those broken s/t Gembeast supports are gunna be pretty powerful. (Rare Value will also be run in 3x probably, since Graceful is banned.)

Oh wow. I can see the power of Des Calibur Knight with Norreras. It'll fuel up your grave with Dark/Fiend in no time.
 
Isn't Sapphire Pegasus limited to 1 in the OCG? I'm pretty sure I spotted its name in Spike & Baron's list.

Anybody know how effective the Volcano set is? It seems rather interesting...
 
No it's not restricted at all. That was one of the fake lists that was circulating about that had it semi-restricted. But it can be run in 3s still.
