How many times have you gotten the same Ultra Rare card?

Dark Crisis was the first series of cards I ever bought for this game, and in my first pack, I got a Shinato, King of a Higher Plane. A few weeks ago, I bought another pack of DC when Target had them, and I got another Shinato. Today, I was at Target picking up Batman TAS Vol4, and decided to grab two more packs of DC. Get on the bus, open them up, and I ended up with another Shinato. So now I have three of this awesome card.

How many times have you ended up with the same UR card?
 
Extremely! My only "duplicate" pulls were 2 Creature Swaps. Everything else is onesy onesy. Only through trades and direct purchases have I accumulated any more than one Ultra of a card

Course, if you count super rares, I have 6 Greed and 4 UFOroid...
 
Yeah, and then there's that whole thing about me never having pulled an ultra rare, but you know, details, details...

i pulled 4 Double Spell 's they got on my nevers so i traded them all.

its simple to pull the same stuff often...You are pulling from the same packs you know. lol

Now if you said you pulled a Yata or a BLS off a SOD pack, then id be like "dude, you should either 1. check your pack to see if its legit and 2. you are one lucky person. lol"
 
Reading this has only further reinforced in my mind that I have THE WORST luck possible with packs. (It has also made me wish I had x-ray vision).

on the back of the packs, it tells you that its a 1:1 for rares, 1:6 for super rare, 1:12 for ultimate rare, and 1:24 every Ultra rare.

right? well what you do is get a fresh box, if its not fresh then you count from the end to the top.

then you start counting, the 6th should be super, the 12th should be a ultimate and on the opposite side there should be both 1 ultimate or the ultra rare.

usually you end up with about 2-3 supers, 1-2 ultimates, 1 ultra rare, and the rest rares.

so, once you get the hang of it you will be bound to start pulling foils.

its what we do everytime with boxes. we just start counting and be like, "I bet this has a foil inside" and surely enough it does.

it doesnt mean you will get a specific card, just means you will get a foil. :D
 
And that you're then left with a bunch of OTHER packs, which are totally useless. Or do you sell those on eBay?

oo, we open them too. rares and commons are really good in the 60 card sets. :D

there good all around :D
 
More commonly reffered to as weighing? And then what do you do with the non-holo packs? *is still so lost, it's just plain sad*

yea, but for that you either need to have somebody that will let you or you already bought the box. and even then, since its scaling with a machine and not your hands, you really cant tell and will be shooting in the dark.

while counting yea you have that risk of pulling nothing, but you know atleast you can with out the use of a peripheral device :D


oo, we count for when we buy from boxes.

like we didnt want to buy the whole box at another store and only have a few dollars, might as well try and get as much as you can right :D
