I had a dream....

Not really, just a thought. And a wierd one.

After seeing some of the UDE FAQ things about tribute setting posted on the thread "scapegoats'", a strange question popped in my head. Why you would ever want to do this, I don't know, but here goes;

A player has light of intervention face up on the field and a player tribute summons in defense mode (would be a set except for LoI is active) any monarch. Doesn't matter which one. Considering that is a tribute summon by all technicalities, would the monarch trigger it's ability? I don't see why not but the question itself is just strange to me.

Monsters Set in Defense Position are Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position.
That's from the text of Light of Intervention, and it doesn't get much clearer than that. The Monarchs have been Tribute Summoned; their effects will activate.

<smiling> I once investigated this in hopes of using Light Of Intervention and Stray Lambs to tribute in the same turn....<snapping fingers> Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Not really. If something doesn't seem right, even though all evidence points to it, majority of the time, it is wrong.
My whole life is based on this fact alone.

LOL
well, yes, in life i would agree. Generally when something doesn't seem right it is in fact wrong.

It is my experiance that when something in YUGIOH doesn't seem right, even though all evidence points otherwise... it is in fact correct. This is what I was reffering to.
