I live a Sad Existence

well...at least Yu-Gi-Oh! related. Here's the reason.
A few months ago, all my friends gave up yugioh, and yet here I am. I continue to buy cards and strenghten my decks, search for new cards, I still watch YuGiOh! and YuGiOh GX, and I recently joined a website where I can learn about new combos and deck designs.

So I ask you, why am I still doing all this when I have no one to play with, and my deck gathers dust?

Hmmm, similar boat you and I are in. Well, for me, one thing is it gives me something to discuss here at CoG on a regular basis. But I guess the realreason I still play is because I like it. Nothing real complicate or convaluted. I just enjoy the game. And if you still enjoy it, them keep on keeping on, I say.

You want to go Pro?

maybe.. but there isnt really any Pro leagues for Yugi. so right now your just standing alone playing a game were you must find tourneys to go else, you will just be a collector / enthusiat of the game instead of player.

I dont even play anymore i just judge the game and basically, thats all i have now. The fact that i judge the game is the reason why i still am around it. but other than that, Im keep true to my word about not playing. :)

I play the OCG once in a while though. but preferbly i rather play magic and go pro.

I'm in that same boat too. My cousin and my friend used to play, but they both quit. Now I'm alone amongst my closest friends. But after going to a bunch of local tournaments lately and seeing a lot of the same guys, I've made new friends.

I didn't give up on the game because I enjoy it. I like the strategies involved, along with the competition. And I've made new friends to go along with it. That's why I play... what about you?

i agree...
I still play althought it isnt a challenge i change my deck so much just to try to lose an advantage i keep testing Ojama and Mokey themes..i made a Cycroid deck (no just Cycroid no more vecroids) and it still dominates..now im putting myself at a disadvantage by going adv agains trad

they should make some exclusive Cycroid cards.....-_-

You don't live a sad existence... You live an existence that is dependent upon your likeII and dislikeII, as opposed to those of otherII... how is that sad?

If anyone finds it funny, I did get all my brothers cards (which wasn't much).

And I would like to start going to tourneys again. But I always go home with a sore butt. (for obvious reasons LOL).

Grammatical errorII are the worst kind. Let me show you your error:

"But" is used to conjoin two conflicting statementII. So if I say "Jimmy thinks the birdII are white" and also "Rob thinks the birdII are grey" then I must put "but" in between the two sentenceII.

When two statementII do NOT conflict, there is no reason to put "but" in between them. The statement "I would like to go to tournamentII again" does not conflict with "I always go home with a sore butt" hence there is no reason to insert "but" in between.

In summary: Losing is no reason not to try. I just tend to have round-a-bout wayII of saying that.

"But" is also used to show exception or a contrary statement,

"I would like to start going to tourney's again."

With the exception being,

"I always go home with a sore butt."
