I Passed My Lv2 Judge Test

I do not think they were calling you a Lair but trying to verify that you were indeed an LV3.

Since many people have claimed such status and dispense bogus information, the people on the other board simply wanted you to verify that you were indeed an Lv3. Lv3's are held to a different standard than an Lv2 is so its understandable the difference in reaction to him passing his lv2 and you passing your Lv3. Simply because the l2 is hard but, the l3 is much harder.

Also from what I heard from people, and I am sure they are wrong and misread what you originally wrote, that you were asking to be flown around to the SJC's, Nationals and Worlds and Kickbacks and what not just for being an Lv3. Once again, I never said I believed you wrote any of that.

congrats.

People were i play think it's funny that i am no 16 yet, but i am a lv 1 judge. I tell them that i took the test back when it was still mostly toon world questions. Back then the age limit was lower, so after they uped it i got to stay a jugde. Not that it maters much for me, i turn 16 wednesday, but a got friends, who are judges, and won't turn 16 for months.

That's HILARIOUS!!!! I know TheOne, and that just doesnt sound like something he would say (or write, much less) unless it was meant to be a joke.

While I'm sure that there are some kind of perks to judging events as a higher level judge, this isnt like Refereeing in a "Final Four" tournament or being selected to be an Umpire at the World Series, so how can anyone expect to receive "above and beyond" awards and incentives???

As I said "I never said I believed you wrote any of that." when other people were commenting on it on the othersite. I apologize if it sounded like I believed that but that was what several of the Members I talked afterwards said. There are a lot of Bitter Lv2's who tried to take the Lv3 and failed and when they see someone not only pass but with such a High score, ofcourse they are going to post some nasty things.

Bitter L2s? Heck, I was never bitter trying for L3....I was too busy hitting my head on the table for misreading words and assuming things!

Just wondering, is there anything that you can say about the lvl 3 tests, other that that they are extremely difficult? Also, do you only need the 80% (it was 80, right? Sorry, it's been awhile since I took the lvl 1 test) score like with the other tests, or do you need higher on it?

Edit: Oh, and congratulations on making level 2! I hope someday to join your ranks. And even to pass you, to level 3. Of course, I'm sure I could never pass 3, but still, lvl 2...... If only I had accesss to higher level tournaments to take the test at.:(

<laffin at myself> I can't remember what you have to have to pass the L3. If I'm not mistaken it's an 85% All I can remember is I missed 3 of the first 10 and I was sweating bullets, thank goodness I didn't miss anymore!

As far as it's difficulty or what I can say about it...it's much the same as the L2 test, just more in depth. To be quite honest with you, if you followed the posts everyday on the rules forum here and the judge's list for six months and made sure you understood what each and every post meant then it's highly likely you'd pass the L3 test.

The best advice I always give when it comes to the L2 and L3 test is..

Game Mechanics, game mechanics, game mechanics.

If you know your game mechanics inside and out you can figure out 90% of scenarios, without it you're sure to become stumped quickly.

Wow. Incredible to think that I might have a chance at passing the level 2, or even 3 test. Unless of course, more than 15% of the questions involve Peten the dark clown (stupid timing issues).... Cause other than that, I understood eveerything else.

Now if only I had transprtation to a large event.

*starts scheming........*

Oh, another thing, I don't suppose either of the higher level tests have any essay questions, do they?

Careful with that statement! I don't know of anyone that knows everything.....and I mean no one! I've worked with just about all of the higher level judges and it always takes a team effort to answer all the questions that come up in a regional, SJ championship, nationals, or world tournament.

Well I didn't say that I knew everything, just that I understand most of the rulings on the list. I suppose I was incorrect to imply that Peten would have to be in 15% of the questions for me not to pass. I just meant that I understand most of the rulings on the list, and that I am fairly confident (/overconfident) about my ability to pass at least the level 2 test.

I'm sure I would fail the level 3 test if I were ever to take it. But hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

Think I'll head along to the Irish Nationals this weekend if I can, see if I can take the Lv2 Judge test (if they even have it available, there don't seem to be even that many Lv 1 Judges in Ireland and we tend to be ignored by UDE), don't know how I'll do but if I can at least take it it'd be nice to see how I score and where my weak points lie as a Judge.

Good luck on your test. READ all the questions several times and go over your answers many times since you have as much time a you need. Good Luck! And it isn't the end of the world if you don't pass it. The first time I took the Lvl 1 test I didn't pass. LOL.

Looking good for me heading along (i.e. no sign of management needing me to work the weekend) but honestly don't know if the Lv2 Rules test will be available or what, if it is then I'll definitely try have a bash at it, if not guess I'll just play in the last chance qualifier tournament, entertain myself for the day. Might even be a case that the test will be on the Sunday instead, certainly be worth the 2nd trip just for that if this turns out to be the case.

Went along, they had the test, seemed a bit shocked that I wanted to do the level two (as I said, there aren't even many level 1's in Ireland and one lad claimed that he was the only Lv 2 ~ last autumn), I passed. :)
At least it'll give more points to people playing in tournaments I'm the head Judge on (awaiting the on-line Player Management on for this too), maybe at next year's nationals I could see how I fare on the Lv 3 (not too optimistic on passing it at the moment were I able to take it).

congrats

Way to go Exiled!!!!

Where can I find the L1 yugioh rules it does not seem to be availible on the UD web sight. I've taken and passed the L1 Tournament Organizer and realy would like to take the L1 for the yugioh rules.

It's a hidden page, I'm not really sure what the story is with distributing it, i.e. are we allowed to or not (and you've disabled PMs to your account ;) ).

Congradulations! You should be proud. The game hasn't been in your area long and obviously you've put forth a good deal of time and effort into learning the technical aspects of the game, otherwise, you couldn't have passed that test. A job well done.

Thanks, I'll still keep working on improving my skills and keeping as up to date with rulings as before, and still try pass on as much of that knowledge as I can to others. Hopefully in the not too distant future there'll be a few dozen Lv 2 Judges running around Ireland (few more TOs couldn't hurt either ;) ).
