Hiya neighbor, deepdark,

I'm also working on a Rock deck based on 2x Megarock Dragon...

Yes, it looks fun... Enraged Muka Muka ? How has he worked in your deck? My hand tends to get thin pretty quickly and so I never considered decking him in... would like to hear if he's been truly useful.

Mine is maybe a little less aggressive and more annoying and it's fun to play it... in place of Enraged Muka Muka I have:

Guardian Sphinx

And instead of Forced Back I have:

Ordeal of a Traveler

Both those cards are very annoying. Sphinx clears the field and Ordeal keeps them from getting very many attacks. Sure they get to see my cards but I love it when they see the Megarock Dragon in my hand and think, "oh crap!".

Not sure how they'd fit into your deck but I'd also consider a

Des Wombat

or

Barrel Behind the Door

to protect you from a luckier opponent with a roll of a dice.

Also, I tried Sand Moth for awhile and never really got him going. It seemed to me that Moai Interceptor Cannons were better since I could flip them up next to Guardian Sphinx and have them attack and then flip them back down to protect my LP. So I moved Sand Moth to the Side Deck for the occassional Mystic Swordsman, Drillroid, etc.

But, I'm a much less experienced player than you so you can take this feedback as a grain of salt.

Go Rock!

The Enraged Muka Muka actually works great. I try to grab him with the Rat and usually can keep at least 3 cards in my hand with this deck, takes some patiance but it isn't hard to do. It's great to get him out just before you flip a Morphing Jar. So far biggest shot was 8 cards in hand. Set Pot of Avarice, flipped Morphing Jar, played Avarice, in battle phase attacked and bounced Mole back to my hand, attacked with huge Enraged Muka Muka, he averages 24 to 28 hundred attack I would say. I would say any rat control deck should run one, it has been that good.
I may try the Sphinx, just really not sure what I would want to take out for it.
The Forced Back works much better for me than Ordeal, I use it mainly to stop Monarchs, Snipe Hunter, or to protect my jars for the turn.
Sand Moth also works with Snipe Hunter, Zaborg, Exiled, Demise, and Torrential and unless I can protect it or I am ending a game it generally never sees attack position. Not only can I torrential myself but I can use Granmargs effect on it to make it a 2000 attacker, I find it to be very versatile in this deck.
3 Des Wombat's have a place in my side deck, although I was thinking I might run 3 Dice Jars and 2 Wombats that way if I lose the roll I still don't lose any life.
Thanks for the thoughts, give it a try sometime, I think you'll like it.

D'oh! Granmarg's/Torriential's effect on Sand Moth! What an idea! I didn't even see those easy combos... good idea man.

I though the rule was you couldn't activate barrel in response to an effect if you weren't sure it would deal damage, so it wouldn't work on dice jar, would it ?

Correct.

I like Muka Muka (and the Engraged version). Underrated, I think.

Have you considered Blockman, Canyon and Rock Bombardment?

Ah... good catch... didn't know that since I didn't clearly read Barrel Behind the Door thinking I could activate it after the damage was determined.... now when I re-read it, it's very clear that you cannot activate it against Dice Jar.

I've been using 1 copy of Enraged Muka-Muka in my rock deck as well. It works out well about half the time. I've used it in conjunction with Reckless Greed which is a neat little setup and takes your opponent completely by surprise.

My deck isn't all that much different than yours except I'm using Golem Sentry and Stone Statue of the Aztecs rather than Dice Jar and I've included 2 copies of Fairy Box. With the high def. of most rock type monsters you can inflict some considerable damage when your opponent decides they want to risk the attack even with Fairy Box on the field, especially against Stone Statue of the Aztecs.

I'm using 2 copies of Granmarg and 2 copies of Guardian Sphinx.

Pot of Avarice doesn't seem to work in this deck since your ultimate goal is to remove rock monster for Megarock.

As my rock deck does a lot of setting of monsters and I play Guardian Sphinx I also play two copies of Spelll Shield Type-8 which protect me from Nobleman of Crossout and Snatch Steal as well as the potential to negate any game changing spell cards when I've got a disposable spell in my hand. Worst feeling in the world is to have that Guardian Sphinx flipped up and Snatched from you!

I also use a copy of Lightning Vortex as I'm usually pretty defensive until I build up the number of rock monsters in my graveyard or Grammarg is on the field. A copy of Needle Ceiling isn't a bad bet in such a deck either as a lot of your monsters are set and / or have the potential to be flipped to face down def. position once per turn.

Since I'm playing Golem Sentrys and Guardian Sphinx I'm not too worried about my opponent setting monsters so I've deleted the copy of Nobleman of Crossout in my deck. Grand Mole helps there too.

Just some rambling thoughts, hope one or two of them might help!

I only wish I could use Barrel with Dice Jar, can you say broken, lol.
Enraged Muka Muka is underrated for sure, when the Rat brings it out it is a def problem to get rid of. I tried Blockman, Canyon and Rock Bombardment and although I liked them they didn't seem to out perform any thing with the exception of maybe the Lost Guardian which is on it's way out of the starting line up anyway.
John I like the traps you are running but with how well the bottomless' and forced backs work together mid to late game I can't replace them and I am hesitant to run any more traps. The Pot of Avarice actually works very well in this deck, it lets me recycle the Rats and it seems quite often I have dumped my Megarocks into the graveyard either thru Snipe Hunter or Morphing Jars effect. The Dice Jars are what give this deck OTK and come from behind ability, I just love/hate them so much I could never take them out. More often than not they seem to help me, it's kinda like golfing, that one good shot(6) keeps you comming back for more even if sliced(1) four or five in a row into the woods. I think I will try to fit the vortex in, it seems like a capital idea, thanks for the help, I will prob be running this at the sneak peak tomorrow.

Well, I didn't see you list a side deck. Perhaps you can side deck a few of the items that I've talked about and if the situation calls for them give them a go....enjoy this weekend!

*EDIT*

The thought just hit me that with Golem Sentry, Moa Interceptor Cannon, Stone Statue of the Aztecs, Legendary Jujitsu Master, etc.....running or side decking copies of Mask of Restrict might be a nice addition. In this way it eleminates the threat of Exiled Force (which you're not running) and the only way they can pucnh through your high defenders by attack is with special summon of a high attack monster. Now, granted, you'd have to side out Grammag as it would be dead in your hand if you drew it <shrug> Injection Fairy Lilly makes nice Giant Rat bait as does your Enraged Muka-Muka and are good big hitters.

I know a lot of these thoughts don't really go well with your current deck, just throwing it out as an alternative.

nice additions John... I also have 2x Guardian Sphinx... but I don't have any Fairy Box's so I opted for Ordeal of a Traveler... but great idea, I'll have to find some.

I'm liking the Enraged Muka Muka so thanks for sharing your deck ideas guys. Unfortunately, I sold my only Morphing Jar on ebay about 6 months ago!!!

My side is mostly just burn/otk hate stuff, Des Wombats, Neko Mane Kings, Royal Decrees, Twisters, and Roars, I can prob run those in twos instead of threes and try to fit some of that stuff in. The masks might just be interesting, I will have to try to fit them in.
SoilentG, are you going to the sneak tomorrow?

Alas! I'll be in Leavenworth drinking some brews with friends this weekend! At least I'll have a smile on my face... even if it's a silly stupified one.

Have fun tomorrow deepdark! Let us know how this deck performs.

Ah, Leavenworth and a couple of brewhaha's sounds like a blast, I always have fun on a weekender there. I'll try to see if I can take some notes while I'm rocking the place.

I think you should run 3 Enraged Muka Muka. He drives your opponent insane and kills all monarchs. He makes your opponent think twice about attacking the little rat. It's really not that hard to keep at least 3 cards in your hand in a deck like this.

I went 4-0, unfortunately I was trying out my DDT before regionals and didn't run the rocks. I did however play every opponent with it afterwards and it went 4-0 as well, although it didn't 2-0 every opponent like my DDT did. I think it is def a tourney worthy deck. I played Exodia(side into Monarch), Fiend/Skill Drain, Monarch, and Dim Fisure/Macro for the four games and had no problems with any of them. A guy who I always see at tourneys was playing next to me, he got 2-0ed by a Demise deck on the 1st turn both games, he then proceded to get thumped another 6 or so games in a row by the same deck for fun. I pulled the rocks out of the backpack and said here try this. He beat the Demise 4 games in a row before the other guy got mad and left, it was priceless.
