Eschew Obfuscation
At the last tournament in Fort Worth, there was a guy playing a Self Destruct Deck. One of the rounds went 11 games and 26 turns before a winner was declared! That has got to be a record. What do you say?

They had played 9 rounds and his opponent had won 1 game. There was 1 minute left when they started round 10. After the requisite "finish + 3" the Self Destruct guy won. 1-1-8. On to the tiebreaker. After turn 4, no points had moved. Finally, on turn 26, Destruct guy Flip Summoned Stealth Bird and won the Match. Your stories??

No stories. But wow. That's impressive. Likely annoying for the opponent, but impressive nonetheless. I'm curious what he was running in addition to Self-Destruct Button.

Actually I did that myself back in the day when Last Turn was Semi-Restricted and they still had the older method of determining who won when time ran out. I Last Turned him in Round 1 and then Self-Destruct Buttoned him the next 11 rounds in a row. The judge looked like I was crazy when he asked what round we were on and I said "12". Not really all that had to do.

I didn't get a full count on his deck, but I know it had a lot of stall, LLAB, Swords, Gravity Bind, Nightmare Steelcage. Then, of course Self Destruct + Wall of Revealing Lights, Stealth Bird, Wave Motion Cannon. Other than that, I'm not sure. I know he didn't fair too well overall, but it was fun to see. I only had one guy complain that he was stalling. I said, "how long is he taking to make his moves?" He said, "it's not that, it's that Neither of us can do anything, we're just discarding from our hands." I said, "well, that's a legal strategy. First to run out of cards so he can't draw looses." He said, "I hate your deck, man! There's got to be a rule against this?" "Nope!" "Crap!" I missed who won that one, but I think it went to gave four and the Self-Destruct guy lost.
