I fund out that this combo is very powerfull and allow the First Turn Kill! I'll explain the combo but i'd like to know if it's legal...
Thanks

Here's the combo!
Card N.1
LOD-061 - Woodland Sprite
Effect Monster (Plant / EARTH / 3 Stars / ATK 900 / DEF 400)

Send an Equip Spell Card equipped to this monster to the Graveyard to inflict 500 points of Direct Damage per Equip Spell Card to your opponent's Life Points.

Card N.2
JMP-EN003 - Archfiend of Gilfer
Effect Monster (Fiend / DARK / 6 Stars / ATK 2200 / DEF 2500)

When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can activate its effect. You can then equip it to a monster on the field, and this card will be treated as an Equip Spell Card that decreases the ATK of the equipped monster by 500 points.

If you manage to summon Woodland Sprite and in the same turn to send the Archfiend of Gilfer to the gaveyard, practically you're the winner of the duel... I think that this combo is correct, but i want an official ruling...

Thanks... :D

p.s. what a great combo...

yep i posted a thread believing there should be a ruling made and i still think there should people can get confused about this combo but looks like it doesnt work.because of one of the rules that annoys me the most the "was not the last thing in chain to happen" rule Also its not that easy to pull of both at the same time.but why bother if its not legal.

it did?i guess it was because they dint have any excuse to make it illegal so they made a new rule.i really hate that rules but it was made for the best because then you could win with only 2 cards easily.
tribute for summoning gilfer
and activate ultimate offering to summon woodland and use a card to destroy gilfer and there you go you won :x.i really hate that rules but i guess its for the best.

Actually easier to summon Woodland Sprite then Painful Choice and choose 2 Gilfer out of the five cards. Game over. But it was never their intent to allow Gilfer to come back when used for a Tribute or sent to the grave by Woodland Sprite, the ruling was new because that was the first time a card had the property to select an option "when" it reached the graveyard. Yes there was much wailing and argueing about "unfair" decisions against an otherwise great set of options but that wasn't what the creator of the game had had in mind. All the rulings we wind up with are because, "That was the way the creator of the game wanted his game to be." Kevin stated this recently on the Judges list. I don't have a problem with that being the explanation if that's how it is but I do think that the wording of the cards needs to be 1) straightforward enough that it will make sense to everybody and 2) consistency is necessary so we don't get rulings that conflict with each other.

dude all you need is to summon the sprite and use painfull choise on 3 beast of gilfer.

thats way worse than 1 at a time.

but yea combo doesnt even work.

its not just because it wasnt the last thing to happen in the chain.

its more because it misses its chance.

because gilfers effect have to happen imediatly, BUT since there are 2 parts to woodlands sprite effect.

by the time woodland resolves completely. gilfer is sitting in the graveyard saying "YOU MUTH&($*&$(*&$(*%)"

yes because the first card hasnt resolved.

rule is that other chains cant be started untill a previos chain is finished.

we should all member this.

and thats why i said, its not just because it missed its chance.

its because of woodland sprite not finishing its effect.

and we know you cannot start other effect till one effect is done.

its like that thing with Exodia in the middle of a chain.

the opponent doesnt officially win till the chain is complete.

the combo wouldn't work because the card says to sead a equip SPELL card
I think this was answered almost 2 years ago. Nice try.

Archfiend of Gilfer becomes a Equip Spell Card by its effect, when equipped to a monster.
