It works for everyone...but YOU!

Tell me I'm not the only one will ya?

Do you have a few cards that seem to work for everyone else in town but YOU!?

For me it's Gravekeeper's Spy and Legendary Jujitsu Master. For some reason, almost without fail, whenever I'll set one of these something will pop up that completely spoils the plan. Usually a Nobleman of Crossout or some other card that just muffs it all up.....and I'm talking the frequency is just outragious! Yet, everyone around you is playing the card that doesn't ever pan out for YOU! <laffin>

What's the card that seems to always backfire for you?

I have lost I don't know how many games to Ceasfire. But when I try to play the blasted thing, MST or Dust Tornadoed on the turn I set it. Same thing for Torrential Tribute. Everybody keeps raving about how good this card is and you really should have it in your deck. In all the decks I have put it in, I have managed to get it off once!

You know that Pre-Storm technique? Set your Heavy Storm to give your opponent a false sense of security, so they will set a lot in their back field on their turn, then on your turn you flip it? Never works for me!! Every time, something kills it. A Special Summon + Mobius, MST, their own Heavy Storm (What? on 1 card??). Rediculous!

That Storm set trick is a favorite of mine. More often than not I'll admit I get to use it quite effectively. Although, I do usually hit a chainable with a non-, so it really can be beneficial.

However, "Snipe Hunter" is a staple card to just about any deck, however I do my best to avoid it whenever possible. I have horrible luck when it comes to this game, and at one point I could translate Snipe's effect as "Send all Card from your hand to the Graveyard. Cry."

It"s Mirror Force for me, everytime I set it, my opponenet has some way of S/T destruction. And if it stays on field he usually has only one monster and I'm force to use Mirror Force as Sakuretsu Armor ... I really hate that.

Try all of them. That's why I can't play standard decks. LOL

Jinzo does nothing for me. He just sits there and gets pounded by something.

EDIT: Yet I can sit there all day with a Jam Breeding Machine, and not a take a hit. Go figure.

That happened to me this weekend!! I built a Gift Card Burn Deck, and I had Snipe Hunter out, with a couple Burning Algae in hand and a active Bad Reaction to Simochi. I discarded the first BA (and didnt care what happened, since it did damage anyway) to destroy their Mystic Swordsman LV6, and I rolled a 1. I discarded the second one, and rolled a 6. I had two other cards and rolled 1 for each one, for a grand total of "1, 6, 1, 1". At that point, I knew I lost the game, so I just played it out for the fun of it.... lol

This is what pushed me further into judging! I was judging occasionaly and then drawing 2 Malichous and a Pot of Averice in opening hand; and, then Card Trooper will ONLY dump Snatch Steal, TT, MF and the such! I played the so called mirror matches and the card flow was REDICULIOUS for me. All monster hands or S/T's. I can only get a Trap with Jinzo/RoyalDec on the field!

I have won games where I had 14 M/T's and only one monster. Mostly I loose due to this and this is with 21 - 23 monsters in a 40/41 card deck! I love the game! It's just that with The Heart of The Cards, my cards are HEARTLESS! :huh

<laffin> Well, I have this theory that there is "Judge luck"...or it would be better described as lack of luck. It seems that as soon as you start judging your luck turns to squat! The more you judge, the worse it gets too! It couldn't just be that the more you judge the less you play and our skills get rusty could it?.....Nawwwwww

i have found that if i want to fish out my opponents nobleman of crossout and mst, all i have to do is set torrential / mirror force and sangan / morphing jar - works EVERY time....
:crying

I think you hit the nail on the head. Now that I have retired from the Military, I have less (you would think "more") flexibility to travel to distant locations for Judging, so I have really taken to playing more, and on the early onset of playing, I sucked!!! Now, I really have to play low-key Decks just to keep the locals from scattering to the winds!!

You're not alone...Morphing Jar never worked well for me. I have rarely got it to go off for me.

Can't say just HOW MANY TIMES my Jinzo got Snatch/Brained. Well, at least that prob is over in the new banlist.
