Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the latest in rumors of the release of "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon":

http://www.pojo.biz/board//threads/213818

However, unlike every previous rumor starter, Familiar Stranger has my personal respect and admiration for actually knowing FAR more about the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG cards than I do. (I'm speaking of sets, dates, statistic type things here)

Check it out. Post here if you'd like, but with all due respect to Familiar Stranger, you *should* be corresponding in his thread over there.

Remember, we don't play those silly my site vs. your site games here -- go participate!

thats preaty kool, im not really a big fan of the Cyber-Stein Ultimate dragon OTK deck.

its a nice card to just have sitting there, like the Obelisk that VIz sends out for subscribing to shonen jump. :)

I don't really want Ultimate Blue-Eyes anymore. I only wanted it because it was the strongest fusion monster out at the time and would have been fun to unleash, but now we have Cyber End Dragon, Blue-Eyes seems a bit lacking.

I mean, if you had the choice which would you summon?

Actually according to the Rumor Mill in Yugioh Realms, I believe it is confirmed that JMP-EN005 will be Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. From my own knowledge most American duelists (little kids unfortunately) wanted this card when Blue Eyes Shining Dragon came out.

However, if most players attempt to play this card for just the OTK, then it will be a shame, because this card has so much more potential and can be played in so many other ways. Of course Cyber End Dragon is better, due to its trample effect, and that it can be super juiced by Power Bond and Limiter Removal being a machine after all.

The truth is I met several other people who are not excited about BEUD coming out either. Of course I still want this card, but this card is VERY OVERRATED!
Could the entire game of Yugioh be nothing more than just a bunch of kid duelist attempting one turn kills, or super-cheesy victories? I really hope that this isn't true because if it is then one or both of the following scenarios will happen:

1.) BEUD Dragon will be banned. At one time it was banned in Japan for a short time, but not any more. And that will just be a shame. Afterwards, the conclusion will be that so many duelist use somewhat inproperly (and remember I'm just saying somewhat, this is not absolute-({attempting to maintain political correctness}) just for the purpose of the OTK or FTK, and then Yugioh duelist who used it for this purpose will only have themselves to blame, and thus it will be their fault.

2.)I will have just destroy all BEUD duelists (except myself), and become World Champion.

Haha, that made me chuckle. Take this option, would be far more fun!

I have never been a big fan of BEUD, and really the only reason most people wanted it so badly, was because it was a KAIBA card. I don't think it will see much play except Cyber Stein OTK, and the exceptional litlle guy who likes kaiba.

I'm 99% positive that that never happened. Is there proof to this?

In all reality, this card will be released here too late to generate any use. Just like Vorse Raider being replaced by, well, everything, this card has lost its status. Though, now we have both pieces to Master of Dragon Knight... ^.^

According to DM7FGD's article #45-Character Cards it mentions that at one time BEUD was banned at one time. This was probably early in the OCG, my guess would be before the year 2000. In addition an old ban list that was placed before they started to ban cards in the US, had Cyber Stein banned at one time, I think was around 2001-2002. Maybe you go look to Edo's site for more info.

Devil Franken + Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon + Megamorph = Game.. But does it really? Many people base their Deck around this combo, and so many did when Franken was first released that it was being abused so much the cards were banned from many-a-tournament play

That does not say it was "Forbidden."

The cards which in the past were restricted:
Guardian Sphinx
Vampire Lord
Slate Warrior
Marauding Captain
Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow
Morphing Jar #2
Gravekeeper's Servant
Last Will
Megamorph
Riryoku
Trap Hole
Backup Soldier

What do you like about it? I would have thought it's far better and easier to have one Blue-Eyes on the field with an equip card like United We Stand. Or is it not related to game-play that you like it so much?

A)
I summon Nimble Momonga to attack position and end my turn.

You have Cyber-Stein and Megamorph in your hand, but nothing to dispose of my Nimble Momonga.

Cyber End Dragon, Master of Oz, and Cyber Twin Dragon cannot win the game for you.

But Blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon would have done 8000 damage, and Nimble Momonga's effect would have never activated.
You would have won if you had BEUD.

B)
I saw your OTK deck, so i've side-decked against it.

I summon Sangan (to attack position, not wanting to risk a Nobleman of Crossout)

You draw Cyber-Stein, Megamorph.

You summon Master of Oz expecting to destroy Sangan (7400 dmg) and attack directly with cyberstein (700 atk) for the win

But i move my side-decked card, Kuriboh to my hand.

Oops, you could have won if you had BEUD.

There's no limit on the fusion deck, so if there's even one situation that BEUD is the only card for the job than it IS a necessity for the Cyber-Stein OTK.

IMO, the most people want BEUD because either

A) it is a Kaiba-card
B) it is very strong
or C) it is the finishing touch on their Blue-Eyes Deck.

Of course, it will probably a combination of those.

If anything it is going to end up being more of a collector's card than something you would see in play. That and you know a lot of kids will be after it as well since it is basically Kaiba's biggest card so to speak. I know I will be happy to have it just from a collector stand point.

At the same time though, with the addition of Cyber End Dragon to things Cyber End is pretty much the strongest of the two. So if people really had to choose between the two I would imagine most would pick Cyber End. I would not be surprised though to see BEUD out there seeing some playtime on the field. I just think that at this point they are getting very close to the point of being "too little, too late".

we have been saying that for a while now, since the relase of the tins, we said alot of the cards are comming out too late.

heck the sneek peek promos are too late them selves. but a bit playable non the less.

when will we see crush is the question though. ive been seeing DDV abuse lately.

It won't get banned. Cyber Stein OTK decks will be much more powerful overall with Cyber End and Cyber Twin Dragon than with Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Even then, Cyber Stein OTK users will use Cyber Twin or Cyber End before Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

I'm with Xeno on your last scenario. It put a grin on my face when reading that. Destroying someone's Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon deck doesn't make you the World Champion. Another thing is, not a lot of people will use it outside of Cyber Stein OTK anyway. Aside from the Dragon decks, it won't see that much play. =/
