From the official website:

ZOMBIE MASTER
This card's effect targets 1 Level 4 or lower Zombie-Type Monster when activated.

If you activate "Zombie Master's" effect, and an effect is chained that removes "Zombie Master" from the field or flips it face-down, the effect disappears and you cannot Special Summon the targeted monster.

You can Special Summon the monster sent to the Graveyard as a cost to activate this effect.

This cards ruling directly conflicts with how every other ignition effect works in this game, a great example would be Doom Shaman. Does anyone know why???!!

P.S. does anyone know where I can find the text of zombie master so that I may add it as a quote to this post?

I do my research and prep for regionals a few days before a regional occurs. All that really matters is that my rulings are accurate when I head judge a regional. Also, in my defense, I explained how zombie master works during the player meeting and had about 15 people come up and ask me before the start of the 1st round about zombie master; I was actually being crowded around.

For completeness. Looks like a BKSS to me (or a mistranslation/exclusion of a clause that says it must be present for the Special Summon). It's thinks like this that make me want to write a whole load of errata to put all the cards in simple easy-to-understand modular (cost -> effect, that kind of thing) wording.

The original Japanese text implied that Zombie Master has to remain face-up on the field in order to use the effect.

Therefore, it's not a BKSS situation, it's just a mistranslation for TCG shores.

No, I don't think it implies that. As far as I can see, Zombie Master has to be face-up on the field to activate its effect. It's making sure people don't try to use its effect while it's in the Graveyard or anywhere else.

Ignition effects can only be activated while the monster is face-up on the field regardless, thus making the line of text completely pointless if that was the aim. Do note as well that no other ignition effect shares the same text in the set. Here's an example:
