Kuriboh MRD-EN071

Until recently I have never used this card. I have seen others use it every once in awhile. Now I have it in my deck and this little ball of fuzz has turned a defeat into a victory on more then one occasion. So I think this card has got a permanent spot in my deck.

Kuriboh was good. just when Waboku was super good and so on.

but you gotta move on, 1 defense you waste is 1 defense less that you have in future turns.

it might help you out a bit, but maybe vs. other peeps you will wish that kuriboh was something else.

Kuriboh a waste? I have to disagree.
Kuriboh
Effect Monster (Fiend / DARK / 1 Star / ATK 300 / DEF 200)

Discard this card from your hand to make the Battle Damage inflicted to your Life Points by 1 of your opponent's monsters 0. This effect can only be activated during your opponent's Battle Phase.

This card can save you when you have no defense monster strong enough to withstand a massive attack. This card can also be key in a Chaos or Dark Necrofear Deck. Just because a monster is in the graveyard doesn't make it usless. This monster can be used (if you know how) to summons Thousnad-Eyes Restrict to the field. Kuriboh is a very useful monster and in some type of decks a MUST. Don't overlook this card!

It's more for casual play. I wouldn't run it in a Tournament/Fiend/Necrofear deck either. There's better cards out for the game.

Waste of a draw too. There's better cards you could be drawing instead of Kuriboh. Waboku can do the same, and atleast it's for 1 turn. Not to mention that it is chainable, but I don't run Waboku either. lol

It's time to move on.

Thats what I use, Metamorphosis. And btw, I still can't off the top of my head think of another monster that can be used to stop damage, summon a Chaos monster or Necrofear and be used to summon TER. But its early here and I have had too many long days and nights in a row!(LOL)

The Kuriboh you draw could be a Giant Germ that you may set for a defense for your opponent's upcoming turn.

Yea, you'll hafta eat a lil bit of damage but atleast you inflict 500 point of damage for each one your opponent destroys in battle since they are special summoned attack mode. It's Dark attribute and not to mention it cuts down your deck count.

Hahah, what time is it over there? it'z 9:49 a.m. over here.

YaDoc, if you are running Giant Orcs in your deck, you might want to consider using Second Goblin, 1 star, fiend. As an equip to the orc it allows you to change his battle position during your main phase and if the orc is destroyed in battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead.

That doesn't protect your lp like Kuriboh does, but you can trib him for TER and it helps keeps your Orc safe until your next turn and allows you to do battle again right away. A 2200 attack 4 star is worth protecting, to me :p

Just a thought,
Roan

I would rather run slates over orcs, but thats just depends on your meta. Kuriboh is ok, bad topdeck though and even worse if it gets thrown on the field by a jar.

I agree, it depends on your meta. But I have had that little fur ball save my bu** on more than one occasion.

Kuriboh can have a life saving effect, but the fact that it requires himself to be the cost makes it unusefull for let's say the other 4 monsters attacking, also to say that it can fit as it should in a few decks, say discard decks and probably burn decks as well, but it can't go further than that at tournament level dueling, at least that's how I see it right now, might change my mind if I "see" a good combo, that'll make him come back to top level
