ok set up player A has face down wall of reveling light and last turn, with jowgan on the field, player B has ememy controler in his hand and some sheep tokens on the field,

chain
Player A :WORL
player B no response
Player A: last turn choosin jowgan
player B: chains emeny controler sac a token to take control of jowgan

how would that resolve as i see it i would have control of jowan before last turn reslove so he is destory leaveing my oppant with nothin on his field and i still able to speal summon something

No, that's not quite how it resolves.

Player A would not choose Jowgen when Last Turn is activated. Only when it is resolved. So in this chain Player B would get Jowgen when Enemy Controller resolves. Then Player A would choose a monster to defend him for Last Turn (and if he has no other monsters, he's lost) while everything else (including the stolen Jowgen) is sent to the Graveyard. Then Player B would special summon a monster and most likely crush Player A in this case :)

Actually, that is not correct. Cards Like Last Turn which has the player(s) select monster(s) have them do so at resolution, not activation. Thus, in this case, Jowgen would have already switch control before the player activation Last Turn would be allowed to select his monster. In cases like this (also see Creature Swap), since there is no monster to select, the entire effect of Last Turn dissappears. If there was another monster that could be selected however, that player would have to selcet from the remaining monsters aviable.

Well, not true, he had a monster that was applicable at activation, and the selecting is required, unless the turn player can fail to do so. Otherwise Offerings to the Doomed couldn't counter Last Turn if they only had Jowgen, but OttD does allow Last Turn to resolve, so having a monster isn't mandatory. Also, Creature Swap isn't nearly the same as Last Turn due to the fact that Creature Swap requires BOTH players to have an allowable monster to switch control of. (Not trying to sound condescending, etc.) ;)

I was initially going to back Chaos up on this one, but...

From the Netrepâ„¢ Files 6.0b:
"The monster chosen to remain on the field by the effect of "Last Turn" is chosen at the resolution of "Last Turn"."

This would lead me to believe that Tonylaudat is correct, and that if "Enemy Controller" was used in chain to "Last Turn", then the effect of "Last Turn" would 'dissapear' since there would be no qualifying monster on the field at resolution. [edit] This scenario would be for when the person who activated "Last Turn" had ONLY 1 monster on their side of the field.

Very interesting...

I don't know whether this is right or not, so correct me if I'm wrong:

Since Last Turn still resolves even if your opponent has no special summonable monsters left in their deck, perhaps Last Turn does not require either player to have a monster on the field in order to resolve. This idea is reinforced by the fact that Last Turn specifically states what happens in the instance that neither player has a monster on the field during the end phase. Seeing as the card doesn't designate a target, I'm assuming this is possible.

EDIT: Assume the player who activated Last Turn had a monster on the field at activation, and it died somehow (RoD, OttD, ect.)

After re-reading the posts, I realized I missed densetsu_x's response about this issue. He is stating that the effect of "Last Turn" would not 'dissapear', but would continue even though the person who activated "Last Turn" did not have a monster on the field to choose from at resolution of "Last Turn".

I find this interesting. So, if I were to WANT to force a draw, I could, theoretically, do the following:
Force myself into a situation where I took 3000 damage from a single attack to be able to activate "Inferno Tempest", thus removing all monsters from play EXCEPT what's currently on my opponent's side of the field, assuming I did NOT have any monsters on my side of the field. Then, during my opponent's turn, activate "Last Turn" even though I DON'T have a monster to choose? (is this possible????) Since my opponent 'should' not have any monsters in their Graveyard, EXCEPT for what just went there via "Last Turn"s effect (praying it's not a "Sinister Serpent"..lol), or in their Deck, "Last Turn"s 'psuedo mini-phase' thingy will complete w/o battle, then when my opponent ends their turn, the Duel ends in a Draw?

Would that be something you could do?
I wouldn't think you would be able to activate "Last Turn" when you did not control a monster at activation.

Should be... perhaps, but but from what I've seen (as stated) you only had to have 1000 LP or less and 1 monster on the field during the activation and something happenned to your only monster, it still "resolved".
