two questions really.

1. does the last turn jowgen combo <still> result in a instant win?

2. if 1 is true, have last turn decks achieved anything lately or where they collectively left behind? <i seriously have no idea where to put this question so figured id tie it into the ruling question.>

Well, since "Last Turn" is banned, I'd say that it has been "left behind" by most players. At least the players that play in official tournaments have dropped it.

wha? banned? wtf is up with that. first im told it never did anything now its banned? thought the banlist was to take cards with too much power out of the game?<envoy, yata that sorta thing.>

The Last Turn/Jowgan combo still (and I should point out always has) works. Since Last Turn Special Summons a monster at resolution, Jowgan will not prevent it's activation. The reason you don't hear much about it lately is because it's been on the ban list for about 4 months now, and Traditional Format doesn't quite get the news Advance Format does.

EDIT: Sloooow Diiiiaaal Uuuuup

Since the banlist rotates into a new one every six months, expect to see Last Turn fluctates as certain combos are pushed back in favor of new ones.

i see, well this has been informative.
does this mean though that if they nix otk cards they dont want combo as part of the game? <make that gamewinning combo, there are plenty of combo's>

What it means, is as newer sets are released, overly powerful combos are nixed early, and there's always going to be a push to make combos from newer sets more powerful otherwise, why buy the set. It goes back and forth on a lot of things. In the end, it's always more about making newer sets more desirable and putting older combos to bed to facilitate that.
