Lava Golem and Solemn Judgement

Is Lava Golem's special summon a "cost" summon?

The reason I ask is because at the tournament today, I was not sure whether when I Solemn Judgemented my opponent's Lava Golem, my monsters were still tributed or not.

If it is still tributed, woe be to the person who's recieving the golem. :-(

Yes your 2 monsters would still be sent to the Graveyard even if you played "Solemn Judgment" to negate the summoning of "Lava Golem".
