Legal combo?

Council of Heroes
Scenario:

1. Player A has a face-up "Skill Drain" and two face-up monsters on the field.
Player B has a set "Guardian Sphinx", a set monster (doesn't matter) and a set "Compulsory Evacuation Device" from a previous turn. (do you see where I'm going here?)
It's Player B's turn. They flip summon "Guardian Sphinx", Player A does not respond, not worried because of "Skill Drain", Player B then chains his set "CED" returning the "Guardian Sphinx" to their hand. If I'm not mistaken, this would allow the effect of "Guardian Sphinx" to resolve, returning all monsters on Player A's field to their hand. Then Player A could tribute summon/set the "Guardian Sphinx" if they wanted to.

Would this work?

2. Similar scenario except this time Player B flips summons "Cyber Jar".

Thanks.

Should do, as once again it's a case of Skill Drain requiring the monster to be face-up on the field when its effect should resolve in order to negate that effect's resolution.
