"The Legendary Fisherman" cannot be targeted for an attack if it is the only monster on your side of the field while "Umi" is on the field.
However, if he is the only monster on your side of the field and "Umi" is on the field, then your opponent can attack you directly.

The Legendary Fisherman also gets his effect while "A Legendary Ocean" or "Maiden of Aqua" is acitve on the field. There is no field power bonus as The Legendary Fisherman is immune to Spell Cards effects.
If he is in your hand, you can Normal Summon him to the field without tribute while "A Legendary Ocean" is face-up because it demotes all water monsters in hand and on the field by one star level. Once he hits the field though, he reverts back to a five star monster because of his effect.
