FET-JP040
Lightning Vortex
Magic - Normal
Discard one card from your hand, destroy all opponent's face-up monsters on the field.
Super Rare/Ultimate Rare

thats the text i got from the Flaming eternity thread: http://nforums.netrep.net/index.php/topic,1267.0.html

and original source from : http://dmcomet.vzz.net and http://98.to/ocg

This card will be not "broken" to say as Annoying.

With konami finally dumying down what Thunder Bolt (raigeki) should have been in the first place, this card will be yet another staple in the series of staples we currently have. BUT that doesnt mean that it wont be restricted OR make that nasty Killer snake (sinister serpent) finally leave the game.

but one of the most broken combos to see is the Swords of revealing light + this card, not only will you make all opponents monsters go face up if not already, you will also take care of them for 1 clean shot and not worry that your opponent will attack you next turn, unless they have MST or heavy or decide to use Giant trunade.

but over all this will for sure become a staple and very very very annoying.

and dont think we are too far behind from the over popular harpies feather duster, since propabilites are that it will be remade for the next set "The Lost Millenium"

over all this card is great and i really cant wait for its release.

aswell as Deck Destruction virus of Magic, Sealing swords of Darkness, Swordsmanster - Naked Gearfreed, Pheonix God of Nephitities and Silent swordman LV 5.

::edit::

Found the name of the next set off of Spikes and barons website.

I'm going to take out one "Smashing Ground" to put this in.

I have been abusing "Night Assailants" so much that discard costs don't bother me :D

That could work, but I'm pretty sure that there needs to be at least one face up monster on your opponent's side of the field at the activation of "Lightning Vortex".

You probably knew that, but I just wanted to point it out

if you want to destroy all monster on your Opponents side of the field why do you need Swords of Revealing light.. you need to protect yourself from being Attacked by no monters?

Or if you're gonna activate Swords of Revealing Light.. why do you need to destroy 0 monsters that might be attacking you over the next 3 turns.

Broken Combo? I strongly disagree.  Winning duels depends on making the most of the cards drawn, not to use 2 cards to achieve the same non-cumulative results.

you dont activate any of the 2 when there are no monsters and your controlling everything.

you use that combo for protection from when it becomes your opponents turn and kill off all monsters on opponents side of the field for sure.

not just a few.

since Facedown monsters dont get destroyed by Lightning vortex.

Activate Lightning Vortex...
Chain Ceasefire.

- A

That would be a direct Raigeki. . If I discard Night Assassin in this way, I get to get back 1 flip effect monster right? :D Since it's effect is not optional

Yes, you can use the effect of "Night Assailant" and return an appropriate flip effect monster.

Erm... I have personally used this card and i tink its not as good as raigeki cause it only destroys face up monsters and needs discarding of hand... However its 2 cards gone for maybe 4 monsters on opp field... So the rating is about 3.5/5

Yes, but consider the strategy mentioned earlier with ceasefire, or Swords of Revealing Light. Plus, it's not about losing how many cards, if you have good hand management, "losing" a few cards may be nothing to you.

Actually, this card will be destroying 2 monsters at the most, but it probably will be overrated by many people.

Since I use a deck with "Night Assailants" and "Sinister Serpent", it will work a lot better.

Belt and suspenders guy, eh?  Better hope your opponents don't catch on to you using more than one Sinister Serpent though.

i think its been restricted since it came out a year ago!!! Look at the restricted list before making a deck. I do in case it is limited or restricted...
