Lyquid

try fit in some mother grizzlies to search out the lunatites, the Catapult Turtle, Nightmare Penguins, Star Boys and k'ayest (provided you have rod of silence of, k'ayest can be s.summoned by grizzlies effect)

i really like this deck....i take it you use patrician to redirect attacks to k'ayest ? and the lunatites get equipped to make something harder to remove....like the patrician or k'ayest ?

there are some really nice pieces of possible water tech in this deck....might have to use some of them in my decks.

by the way, Abyss Soldier is limited to 2

EDIT :- Ohhhh...I just worked out why ummiruka and the Star Boys are in there lol....that is truly genius....power up those Lekunga/JBM tokens to fire them off c.turtle...nice

I like it. Kay'est is my favorite guardian monster, because, personally, I think it and the Rod of Silence have the best effects. But yeah, Abyss Soldier is limited to two, and I can imagine that three Star Boys could be bad topdeck. Perhaps a few more Mother Grizzly? I love the deck though, nice job. :D

Limited, huh? Had no idea. This is such an obscure ban list this time around I keep overlooking stuff. That's okay, though, all that did was bring me down to 40 cards even. :cog_biggr

You guessed my plans. Now you must join me or die. :silly_jed LOL Yeah, I'm so tired of trying to build things around The Legendary Ocean that I decided to explore the possibilities of Umiiruka. I mean, in most other cases the 500 ATK always trumps other Field Spells, but because of all the Umi support monsters, no one considers it so with Umiiruka. I'm also going or something like what I used to run back when I first started the game. Not that I was running Water, but that I was trying to run something more flexible that could pull more surprises then most decks.

Oh yeah, I want to top deck Star Boys. The more the merrier. :cog_grin_

LOL...Umiiruka is an overlooked card, but it is making an appearance in more and more water decks of late....people are trying to become less reliant on ALO. I use Umiiruka in my frog deck, since the frogs get a bigger power up and I still get to triute summon my Des Frogs (alo stops that)

Like I said in my last post, grizzlies are a must since they search out a lot from the deck. Plus fit in one or 2 Salvages, to reuse and abuse the Abyss Soldier fodder

It's not that ALO and Bugroth isn't a good strategy, it's just that it's been done before. It's a "built-in" combo and that kind of stuff just has me down lately.

I'm actually considering the Mother Grizzlies and Salvages. I want to see what kind of structure this has first before I take anything out. Searchablity is great, but sometimes it isn't needed and can sometimes (and I realize a lot of people do not realize this) it can diminish your strategy and actually counter what you are trying to do. But I may add them in yet, after I see what the deck can and can't do.

Very sneaky .. Darn wish I had a Catapult Turtle :D

Is the idea to redirect the attack to Kay'est? If it is then I don't think this will work (see the ruling on Staunch Defender and Kay'est). I don't think Kay'est would be a legitimate target for a redirected attack. Or is Patrician there to redirect attacks into Catapult Turtle equipped with the Rod of Silence?

Geez... I just love these non-standard builds ... really gets the old brain thinking again <reaches for commons folder>. ;)

Patrician is there in case need him. I'll be redirecting attacks to Slime Tokens or anything else I really don't want, but yeah, I wan't to keep the Star Boys alive untill I can flood the field.
