anyone know if there's a release date for the machine structure deck yet?? before sj orlando?? will gadgets be legal for that event? boys are dying to know..... :?
 
Supposedly it will be released on 1/17. Regardless though it should be out prior to SJC Orlando and yes it will be legal for it.
 
And SJC will have huge implications on which direction the meta goes because of that. Not just in how decks will utilize the Gadgets, but how decks will seek to counter them.
 
Yeah, not just Chain Strike Burn (Still in the hype mode) They also have to deal with another new threat of Gadgets. And Gadgets are huge in OCG so they know the power of it. (Even if we don't have the better card support of Gadgets.)
 
My guess is that the name of the card will be translated to something like "Ancient Gear Gadget Dragon".

When this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Magic/Trap card(s) until the end of Damage Step. When sacrifice summon with the one of the following monster(s), this card gains that respective effect.
- Green Gadget: When this card attacks a monster in defense mode, and this card's attack strength is higher than the defense strength of themonster in defense mode, do battle damages to opponent equal to the difference.
- Red Gadget: When this card does battle damages to opponent, do 400 damages to opponent.
- Yellow Gadget: When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, do 600 damages to opponent.
 
And while we're on the subject, I'm wondering how this will be ruled/worded. For instance, if you sac 2 different Gadgets, will you get both effects...?
 
Ultimate offering with the gadgets and the 'ancient gear gadget dragon' is going to be quite a combo... Basically, summon gadget, use UO to bring out your next gadget, then UO again to tribute for the dragon using the gadgets brought out. take your choice of effects...
 
Nice thinking. But you can only use UO's effect once per turn. But if you have a plan to make sure those two monsters survive the next turn, it could work.

Ultimate Offering:
By paying 500 Life Points, Normal Summon or Set 1 extra monster. You can only activate this effect during your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase.

Now, I don't know about you, but I don't see anything that says 'once per turn' in that text.

You can use the effect of "Ultimate Offering" as many times as you can pay for it, and/or have monsters in hand to summon with it.
 
I thought there was an errata saying you can only use it once per turn.

Tomorrow is the official release date. Whether your store or Wal-Mart will have it tomorrow is another point entirely. After all, I know places that didn't get the Dino deck for a week to 2 weeks after the release date. That said, I don't think it will have the same issues as the Dino deck since I know a lot more people have been showing they want this one for a long time now.
