You can activate this card during your opponent's Battle Phase. Take 2 non-Monster Cards from your Deck and select 1 of your Monster Cards on the field, then shuffle your Deck. Shuffle the 3 selected cards and Set them on the field in face-down Defense Position. The 2 cards selected from your Deck are treated as monsters (ATK 0/DEF 0) and are destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase.


I know it says that you "can" activate this card during your opponents Battle Phase, but that doesnt sound like you are limited to just that.

I was wondering, since the 2 non-Monster Cards are Special Summoned, can they then be tributed for 5 Star and above, if this card was activated on your Main Phase?

Also, since the non-Monster Cards are considered Monsters, can they then be used for the effect of Creature Swap and Ectoplasmer?

The wording may indicate otherwise, but you can't activate Magical Hats outside of your opponents battle phase.

Its good enough for two cards that are going to the Graveyard anyway...  Just too bad that you have to pay 500 life points to do it. 

Another question.  Lets say that the actual Monster is "Hade-Hane" and you happen to have Waboku set when they attack.  Im sure the obvious answer is that you could return all 3 cards to your hand and keep them since they are no longer on the field at the end of the Battle Phase, am I right?

Was, hade- hane attacked...... if it was, then if hade-hane survives it effect resolves, then all 3 cards come back. If you attack and I activate Waboku, once the Battle Phase is over, then the cards other then hade hane, gets destroyed per Magicial Hats effect:

The 2 cards selected from your Deck are treated as monsters (ATK 0/DEF 0) and are destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase.

can dark coffins effect be used with that of magical scientist.

from my understanding they would be effectless monsters. but somebody keeps telling me that dark coffins effect would activate since they are being sent from the field to the graveyard, which i belive not.

If Dark Coffin is destroyed by an effect while face-down and sent to the graveyard (such as at the end of the Battle Phase by Magical Hats), its effect will activate.
