Magical Thorn TP5-EN003

Now this is more like it. Everytime your opponent discards a card, they take 500 damage per card discarded. "Morphing Jar" them... they'll take damage. "Card Destruction" them... they'll take damage. "Card Destruction" them after flipping a "Morphing Jar" and Chain "Serial Spell", they'll take a MESS of damage. If the card is already active and they discard a card as part of a cost to activate a spell/trap, they'll take damage.

Couple this card with "Greed" and watch Deck-out decks (aka "Wormjar") take out most people within a few turns.

This one card, by itself, MAKES a new kind of direct damage deck. It turns Needle Worm into 2500 damage. I mean think about it, especially if you have 2 magical thorn on the field...
Morphing Jar
Morphing Jar #2
Needle Worm
Card Destruction
Confiscation???
Don Zaloog???
Dragged Down Into the Grave :)
Drop Off :)
Hiro's Shadow Scout (yuck, i wouldn't run this card personally, although it does work well with Card D/Morphing for some xtra damage with Thorn)
Magic Drain (yay, a card that's already awsome made even better :)
THESTALOS THE FIRESTORM MONARCH :D

This is making me wanna make this deck on YVD, c you all L8er :)

Magical Thorn

This is a great card, fun to play especially in a discard deck, which I run. I need to point out quickly that everyone needs to remember that the damage effect only comes into play when your opponent discards from his hand. Needle Worm won't do it. MJ#2 won't do it. Too bad they won't work. This card would be so overpowered if they could, even without multiples. My favorite Legit Combo is:

Cyber Jar> Book of Taiyou> Shallow Grave the Cyber Jar, Rinse and repeat until your opponent has as much of his deck in his hand as possible, then Card Destruction, Serial Spell it if you can. Peace out.

this is a wicked fun burn card. if u can make a mill/hand control deck with this in it,it would be sweet. i posted my advanced deck in the forum that uses greed and this card to really deal lots of lp damage. neddle,MJ,cyber, card d.,etc.

Definitely an excellent card. A staple in hand obliteration decks. Many different cards would beneift from it. Don Zaloog, card destruction, morphing jar, Gravekeeper's servant, Helpoemer and a whole lot more. Yes, Gravekeeper doesn't activiate the effect but it goes along with it in destroying cards before they reach the opponent's hand. And its effect damage that can occur at large amounts per turn if left unopposed by the opponent.
