I would love to know if anyone knows why they errata'd the card like that? I don't see need It was perfect the way it was printed. Not even broken.

I think this card had some serious potential before it's power was cut to ribbons. I wanted to combo the card with Soul Absorbing Bone Tower 's discard effect ( my zombies are sad now ). Now I would love to hear what other people are using it for and where it seems to be most effective.

we already have a post on Magical Thorn somewhere.

It was way too broken before when it could inflict damage for cards discarded of the top of your opponent's deck. There are just to many cards that do that to a large extent.

combo it with Serial Spell and Card Destruction when your opponent has 10 cards in hand.

5000 + 5000 = 10000

couldn't find it so i started one more.

a very hard thing to do.

more likely 5 x 500 = 2500 x serial spell = 5000.

But that's the idea. i was also throwing in greed as a thought.

its not that hard if your making a deck out deck and have 1 Magical Thorn activated

but yea Greed works

I've made a deck with that cambo for a tourney a while ago... I made it to the best 8 of 40 or so ^_^
At one time I had 2 Greed and 1 Magical Thorn on the field.. He had 5 or 6 cards in his hand... Then I activated Card Destruction with Serial Spell

Magical Thorn is one of my favorite burn cards EVER! (next to Fire Princess)

Ever since I saw it in Worldwide Edition, I wanted it in real life
