Malicious and Divine Wrath

While Destiny Hero Malicious is in the graveyard he can be removed and then another one can be special summoned but what happens when the person activates his effect and his opponent chains Divine Wrath to it? Will Malicious stay in the graveyard and his effect can be activated again, or is Malicious now out of play?

Removing Malicious from play from the graveyard is the cost to activate the effect. So if it's Divine Wrathed, there's nothing left to "re-activate" (unlike Treeborn Frog and Sinister Serpent).
