Metamorphsis on a Scapegoat Token?

Can you do this?
Yes, because you are tributing the token for a Special Summon, NOT a Tribute Summon.

Remember, you can tribute Sheep Tokens for any/every type of tribute EXCEPT for Tribute Summon, or Tribute Set.

So you can use "Metamorphosis" to bring out "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" (most common abuse).
You can tribute them for "Cannon Soldier"s effect.
You can tribute one for "Hand of Nephthys" effect to Special Summon the "Phoenix".

Hope this helps.

[edit] Grrr...**shaking fist in air** I'll get you chaos, and your little dog too!

Skey23 - just so ya know, I don't hunt for Qs you're answering and beat you to it, just if I answer a Q, and you're online, I'll check to see if you're answering too, lol

Like Deck Devastation Virus the monster need not be face-up to be tributed. People read too much into the monster has no ATK, DEF, Type, etc. while face down. What that statement refers to is that cards such as TIV and Smashing Ground can't select a face down monster as they can not determine these facts. It does not mean that the monster literally has no ATK, DEF, TYPE, LEVEL while on the field, only there are few cards that can use this information when the monster is face down.

Actually this is a different case than DDV.

The Star Level of the monster tributed is not used until resolution of Metamorphosis, so it is possible to make the effect "dissappear" if an Appropriate Fusion Monster is not available in the Fusion Deck.

DDV is odd, since it should be an activation requirement, and while the monster is face-down, whether you can meet it is unknown.

As a general rule, face-down monsters do not have a "known" ATK/DEF, Type, Attribute or Effect Text. They cannot be referenced.

But you knew that. Didn't you John. <ribbing> :) :D

There I go again....making comments on cards that I don't use and didn't do my homework....one of these days I'll learn....and until then I'm sure I'll have plenty of people pointing out my errors <laffin> Everyone loves to catch a judge in a mistake!

Actually the funny part is I did look at Mind Control and read right over that part <shrug> I have been know to "selectively read" text at times. It probably comes from being a husband and learning "selective hearing" in husband school. <folding back the newspaper> "Yes Dear....of course dear"
