Mind On Air

You know, there's a reason why 2 very, very powerful cards were banned. Namely, The Forceful Sentry, and Consifcation. The effect of hand disruption were powerful, but that isn't the reason these 2 particular cards were banned.

The reason is that you may "view" what is not public knowledge. Your opponent's hand. Activating The Forceful Sentry and Confiscation and "viewing" your opponent's hand is releasing their startegy, discarding or placing a card back in the deck could disrupt their whole hand, also you have the perfect idea what the control in their hand. Now you know exactly what they have. Viewing public knowlegde bends the rules, bu The Forceful Sentry and Confiscation have bended those rules, and now there banned.

This week's topic from StRiKe_NiNjA is about Mind On Air. You probably thought you wasted scoring this card from the Soul of Duelist packs, but if you base your deck around this card's abilities, haha oh brother. First off, let's view the Atk/Def and Effect shall we?

Mind On Air
DARK/6/1000Atk/1600Def
[Spellcaster/Effect]
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent must continue to show his/her hand.

WoW! 1 Tribute! And the effect isn't even WoRtH It!

My friend, the effect is very well worth the effort, if used correctly.

The tribute part of this monster may not all that be too fun, but the Atk is what makes it all easier. It's 1000 Atk, which can easily be brought out by Mystic Tomato.

When you have that all set and done, now you know exactly what your opponent sets face-down which isn't public knowledge, but you know exactly what has been placed face-down before hand.

With combos like D. D. Designator and Great Phantom Thief, Oh boy have some fun.

The only bad thing is, seriously.... horrible DrAw! Horrible attack, horrible defense on it's own!! LoL

I love this card! Mind on Air has to be one of the most difficult decks to build and play. However, it is seriously sick, to be able to keep looking at your opponent's hand and just deplete dangers or counter attacks.

With Delinquent Duo now back, Im considering rebuilding it, yet again. I have to admit, out of 3 attempts, Ive had 3 losers. The last one has come the closest to working. It obviously used a couple of Tomatos and Last Will. But, in the last attempt, I included 2 Chick the Yellow and 3 Mirror Wall. Never has damage and protection been SO easy!

Besides Mind on Air looks like the little sister to Dark Necrofear *drool*.

..ok, Im getting help.

After long experimenting, I came to the conclusion that using Mind Crush and the combo with Trap Dustshoot is redundant to having Mind on Air in the first place. Too often, when people try such a deck concept, they go overboard on it.

In this case, having 5-10 cards that let you see your opponent's hand is doing what exactly? Giving you a premonition as to what they are about to beat you with? Limits have to be placed, but multiple uses is more important.

I ended up taking out Mind Crush and its related counterparts for the Chick+Mirror Wall combo, so that I could inflict damage, reset Mirror Wall/clear their set threat/see what they were about to draw next turn/etc.

Mind on Air will never, IMO, be a competitive deck type, much less a playable card in itself. Its more like .....a challenge for the fanatic deckbuilder and strategist. ;)

Strike Ninja small favor please let the net rep people know the Pigeonholing Books of Spell has the incorrect text on it in the card registry it supposed to be look at your opponents top 3 cards
The text of the card on the Netrepâ„¢ card registry IS the correct text of the card. It has been errata'd.

Here is the text from the errata list on UDE's site:
"Pick up the top 3 cards of your Deck and return those cards to the top of the Deck in any order. Your opponent cannot look at the cards."

Here is the text from the Netrepâ„¢ Card Registry:
"
Pick up the top 3 cards of your Deck and return those cards to the top of the Deck in any order. Your opponent cannot look at the cards."

As you can see, they are identical.

The Dark Revelation is the text that should be followed, as it is the most recent updated. This will be the text that takes priority and will be the correct text.

they changed the effect all together changed what player the card effects? that is a load of B.S. I can't beleive it...but I suppose I must....it was an awsome card to chain to cards that effect draws.
