player A sets a magician of faith and end turn
player B sets a ring of destruction, waboku and end turn
player A tribute summon mobius the frost monarch and player B activated ring of destruction..
here's the question.. do we resolves the ring of destruction effect first? If so, do we still resolves the effect of mobius the frost monarch so player B's waboku will be destoyed by mobius's effect?

Mobius -> Ring of Destruction.

Ring resolves first, destroying Mobius.

Then Mobius' effect resolves, destroying Waboku.

Technically the player could have chained Waboku to Ring of Destruction as well.

What Densetsu_x Said, and then some....

Mobius' effect is activated the moment he hits the field from the Tribute Summon, so the controlling player may immediately select up to 2 Spell or Trap Cards on the field to destroy.

If one of the targeted cards is Ring of Destruction, the opponent may chain to the effect by activating Ring and if there is no response, also activate the second targeted card, Waboku.

After Mobius is destroyed by Ring, at that point, Mobius' effect destroys both cards since neither card can be removed until the chain resolves.  This is important to remember since some cards also have secondary effects when they are destroyed after activation.

here comes another scenerio....
player A puts a magician of faith and end turn
player B sets a trap hole and a mirror wall
player A tribute summons mobius and player B activates trap hole....
do we still need to resolves mobius's effect so player B's mirror wall is destroyed? pls note that player A did not tribute summon sucessfully as player B has activated a trap hole.....

Sometimes I think people just misunderstand what a successful summon is versus a monster that was summoned, and then destroyed or returned to hand.

As a case of disappointment, if my monster was destroyed or returned, I would say it was not a "successful" summon based on the fact that I didnt get to keep a monster on the field or attack with it.

As a Game Mechanic, the summon WAS successful, but I just didnt accomplish what I may have originally planned to do with my monster, especially if it wasnt an effect monster.

thats true.

i guess its just the fact that most people jump the gun.

Summon, boom
battle

they dont relax and try to enjoy the game stating what their doing.

I have grown accustom of doing this.

because I hate it when some players try to tell me other wise when it comes down to Turn player priority and so forth.

does this mean that as long as any creature is summoned and trap hole/bottomless/torrential tribute is used to destroy it, it's effect still can be used? what about monsters like levia etc.
