Modern Day Beatdowns? o.o

Well, I have proven to myself that in tournament play, Monarch decks suck...XD (No offense to those that use them, I just owned three today with not much effort...XD)

That being said, I still am losing to well built Warrior Decks and Fairy Controls...so, I want to build my Beatdown Deck again. Only problem with me is that I have been out of the loop for so long that I am not sure what a modern day "good" beatdown looks like anymore...

The all being said, can anyone tell me what is in modern beatdowns so I can build a prototype for mine? Reason being that beatdowns never have failed me before, but since the banned list came out, I am unsure what to put in. So, suggestions of crucial cards all the way up to a blueprint of an ideal beatdown would be appreciated. XD
 
Beatdown, eh?

-3 Cyber Dragon
-Pick a Monarch or two, maybe Jinzo
-Some Slate Warriors
-Bersersks perhaps
-3 Hydrogeddon seems to be popular lately
-Asura Priest is rising in popularity too
-The "staple" monsters (Breaker and co.)
-2 Exiled
-Lily
-Morphing Jar (to keep up steam)
-Removal. Loads of it.
-Trunade?
-Brain Control, for the game winning swing
-Dust Tornado for stupid Saks

That's a pretty basic/untried list. But that should cover most the bases.
 
The modern day beatdown that's "CC" material is pretty much the decks that run 3x Cyber Dragon, 3x Hydrogeddon, and then like 2x Zaborg, 2x Exiled, Asura Priest, etc.
 
I'm doing basically the same as listed in the post above except instead of Hydrogens and Monarchs I'm using Pyramid Turtles and Ryu Kokkis along with a Giant Rat....Zombie beatdown basically.

Okie, so are 1900 ATKers still acceptable? What about Goblins? Equips like United We Stand? Vampire Lord? Dark Ruler Ha Des? Summoned Skull even? XD Also, in one for fun tourney I play at, we're allowed 2 banned cards per deck, as one of them, anyone think the Emperor Dragon may be wise choice? o.o
 
If I were playing with 2 banned cards and winning was important to me I would choose CEDragon and Yata. I can think of no other pair that would win you as many games.
 
If I had to pick 2

Butterfly Dagger - Elma and Painful Choice.

Yes the Envoys and Yata may be powerful, but Painful Choice is such a key for many OTKs and not to mention the 3 Card Infinite Life Gain Combo with BD - Elma (of which 2 are searchable and the 3rd you can run in 3s). Who care's if they get the Envoy off or Lock me if they can't kill me before decking out.
