Alright, I have a question! Why does Konami give us border-line unplayable cards, and make them more difficult to get than playable cards? And I mean that in two ways, rarity and difficulty to play...

Why did they make Armed Dragon LV7 with a defense that is 700 points weaker than Armed Dragon LV5? LV5 is tsuki-proof, LV7 is not! Why is it more difficult to field Silent Swordsman LV7 than Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8, when Horus is stronger and more effective than Silent?

Why did they even create Michizure, when it misses the timing in alost every possible situation? Why in the world is Michizure a rare while Smashing Ground and Fissure are commons?

What is the purpose of creating cards that simply are less effective than their seemingly "weaker / cheaper / easier to field" counterparts? Who's idea was it to give us cards like Tyrrano infinity when we have only *counts* four other competitive Dinos? I mean, even Rex Raptor the Dino duelist used mostly dragons, for crying out loud!

Ok, I'm done. Feel free to reply telling me to shut up. Or feel free to reply listing a whole buch of cards that just seem "wrong" in their unplayability.

Mmm... and you are not joking... gosh... never watched that... darn... LV7 has a weaker DEF then LV5... lol

About Horus vs Silent... I guess it has to do with the fact that Warriors 'are supposed to' have more support (which isn't).

**whispers to pssvr**Pssst...don't tell anyone...but "Fissure" IS a rare from the LOB set.....shhhhhhh.....don't tell ANYONE...got it!

LOL don't punish him because of that. Fissure is common in SDY&SDK&SDP&SYE&SKE.

EDIT: And I thought also common in DB1, but am not sure of that.

You sure you don't mean Mystic Swordsman instead of Silent Swordsman, Silent is easy enough to get out in a warrior deck, had a half-assed throw together the other week, >50 cards in it and still managed to summon the Silent Swordsman Lv 7 a few times.
Mystic however can be a pain to even get the Lv 4 without Level Up! since it really needs the monster to be in attack mode and fairly weak.

I mean Silent. It's true, Silent isn't THAT difficult to field, but it's much more difficult than Horus. And yet Horus has a better effect and better stats. Makes me want to scream. I swear, Konami is conspiring to create a cookie cutter deck, they just can't make up their minds which one they want...

Oh, they definitely are. Horus was the only Level set I kept together. Its amazingly easy to get it out, despite being a NOMI. And its much much harder to get it off the field.

That's true. The effect and stats are a killer. Now if you guys can finish your thoughts on Level Modulation in the rulings area, and we can get SE4 for EEN to be Horus 8, things will be back to brokenedness

eww! I think Im going to be sick.

Here's another one to throw into the mix:

Desertapir.

Can anyone tell me why this card even exists? Granted, it's just a common, but still. What possible effect could this poor little guy have on the meta? I mean, even cards like Dark Gray are playable. I once made a deck that used Rescue Cat to bring out normies, then play Delta Attacker or The Law of the Normal. But Desertapir is flat out useless. How about this:

Book of Taiyou.

What has UDE got against this book? Unlike Book of Moon, this is a common. And it is not a quick play. Plus, it's uses are more limited, since Book of Moon can take a monster face up in EITHER attack or defense position and turn it face down, while Book of Taiyou can only take a monster in defense position ONLY and turn it face up.

Please don't mention Darkness Approaches.

Desertapir is fun to use in a Deck Out Deck.

Use Desert Sunlight, Needle Worm, Desertapir, Tsukuyomi, and Book of Taiyou.

Thats, 5 sends for Desert Sunlight, use Desertapir to flip Needle Worm face-down, summon Tsukuyomi and flip Desertapir face-down, Book of Taiyou Needle Worm for 5 more cards, flip summon Desertapir and use effect on Needle Worm, then flip summon Needle Worm for 5 more.

15 cards, not an impossible combo to pull off, and even more deadly with a Book of Moon (was more potent when Book of Moon wasn't restricted).

Konami has bugged me a lot lately too. They finally started making cards the way they should have been in the first place, like Lightning Vortex should have been what Raigeki is. They have no concept of RARITY anymore it is not even funny. Water Dragon should at least have been an Ultra Rare, or even Cyber Blader. Some of the rarity issues I have seen just boggle the mind, let alone all the useless cards they make. In Duel Masters, it is like 85-90% of the cards are useful while it is like 85-90% of the cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! are useless.

Are you saying Water Dragon should have been an Ultra Rare to make it harder to get, or worth more?

I have 5 already after just 35 packs.

Oh no, not harder to get. I am basing this on effect wise. Cyber Blader for instance should have been an Ultra Rare. How is her monster not worthy of that? What still boogles my mind is, why is Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell only a common, when Spell Vanishing is a Super Rare?

Ok, here is another rant toward Konami. Remember when LOB first came out as a 1st Edition? Do you remember a card called, Trial of Hell? Well it is called Trial of Nightmare now. That has bugged me for the longest that they had the word "Hell" in its name, but now it is gone. Then, we have Red-Eyes B. Dragon. We all heard the rumors as to why that was called that instead of Red-Eyes Black Dragon. What bothers me is Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon can have the word "Black" in its name, but Red-Eyes B. Dragon cannot?

Or B. Skull Dragon. And what about After Genocide? You'd think once they pick a name, they ought to stick with it. But then there is one thing that bugs me more than either of those: Luster Dragon. Why did the LOD one have to change it's name when MFC was released?
