With all the talk of Manticore vs Necrofear, I just wanted to add this to the discussion.
It's Player A's turn. He removes 3 fiends to special summon Dark Necrofear.
Player B already has a Dark Necrofear on her side of the field.
Battle step: Player A's Necrofear attacks Player B's Necrofear and both are destroyed as a result of battle.
During the end phase, would this cause a SEGOC since both effects are manditory or would it go back to the priority issue with the turn player deciding whether or not to resolve his first (which in this scenario, I'd want my Necrofear to resolve 2nd cause this way the other player can take one of my monsters and then I can take it back ).
I'm thinking it's more the second way since as was said earlier in regards to the standby phase, things have to get resolved but other things can be done before and after resolution.
Oh, and as a part B to this question. Player A offered a Manticore of Darkness as a tribute to summon Jinzo to the field for his normal summon. Could Player A resolve the Manticore effect first, then force Player B to resolve the Necrofear effect before his own? (And given the people I play with, this scenario isn't that theoretical.)
Thanks.
