Need a Dispute Settled

alright, I was playing on of my friends. And he Creature Swap-ed my Tsukuyomi to him (face-down). I then attacked it with Breaker the Magical Warrior on my next turn. We were disputing whether or not Tsukuyomi still flipped someone face-down when attacked, if it was destroyed by battle. I said it did, because monsters are flipped face-up during Damage Sub-Step 2. He said mosnters are only flipped up for checking ATK/DEF values. I then asked him how he explained Flip Effect monsters, and he couldn't answer. So....my question:

If Tsukuyomi is attacked and destroyed in battle (while he was face-down) does he target one monster and flip it face-down?

I said yes Tsukuyomi will still target and flip down a monster.

Can I get some back-up here??

If "Tsukuyomi" is attacked while face-down, it is flipped face-up, effect activates and RESOLVES, and then it is wether destroyed or remains on the field. If it IS destroyed, the effect still activates, since it was flipped Face-up.

Yeah! Tsukuyomi clearly specifies "when summoned of flipped face up"...What just happened? It was flipped face up! Just like when a Flip-Effect monster is attacked, it's effect activates...
Em...now I want to ask, when is the monster flipped face down? at the end of the damage step? :D

Generally speaking we don't close threads unless something is being overstated to death. New information might come down the pike and posting it here when it does can prevent confusion when a person does a search for a specific question.

Incidently, that Crying Game comment was hilarious.
