Need a Ruling!!

So here's the question that spawned the argument.

A friend and I were playing a game earlier. I play a Dino deck usually, and he is playing a modified Zombie deck from Zombie World. I Tributed a "Saberasaurus" for "Big Evolution Pill", and then used it to bring out "Super Conductor Tyranno". He then played "Spell Shattering Arrow" to destroy all face up spell cards on my side of the field. But he played it in response to me summoning the "Super conductor Tyranno" and not in response to the spell card coming out. Would my summoned "Super Conductor Tyranno" be returned to my hand, or stay on the field since it was already summoned before the Spell Shattering Arrow was used?

Thank you for your time.

Summons have no Spell Speed, and no "resolution" like an effect would have. The only thing summons have is a "window" where appropriate summon negators can be activated, all of whom happen to be Counter Traps. Spell Shattering Arrow can't be activated there for obvious reasons.

He could have chained Spell Shattering Arrow (provided it was set for a turn) to Big Evolution Pill when it was first activated, thereby depriving you of your chance to summon a monster. But because he waited until you actually summoned a monster, the only chance to play the card was in response to the summon; an already successful summon. The most he's going to get is the 500 damage for destroying Big Evolution Pill.

And that's what I am saying. Thank you so much for clearing that up. Originally I joined here to get that question answered but I like it here. I think I'll stick around. you guys seem cool.

Even with the life hit I would have had my Tyranno, and he was beefed up by Jurassic World. Not a lot, I know, but it helps. Besides I had a "Survival Instinct", enough monster cards in my graveyard to be removed from play and an "Infinity Tyranno". I was set!
