{1} Breaker the Magical Warrior

{1} Spirit Reaper ---> or Exiled Force ?
{3} Nimble Momonga
{1} Sangan
{1} D.D. Warrior Lady
{1} Morphing Jar

{1} Dark Hole
{1} Snatch Steal

{1} Scapegoat / {1} Book of Moon
{1} Lightning Vortex
{1} Swords of Revealing Light
{1} Premature Burial

Sidedeck:

{1} Mobius the Frost Monarch
{3} D.D. Survivor
{1} Exiled Force
{2} Mystic Swordsman LV2
{2} Swords of Concealing Light
{2} Nobleman of Extermination
{2} Spell Shield Type - 8
{1} Ceasefire / {1} Sakuretsu Armour

I will not be able to get D.D. Assailants or Enemy Controllers, or Cyber Dragons before Regionals, so I'll have to make do without them.

Spell Shield Type 8 is there as protection for my Nimbles. D.D. Survivor is anti Assailant.

My main problem is going to be Cyber Dragons. Any thoughts on countering these are appreciated!

ANY advice appreciated. I will rate/fix your deck in return!

Wow, thanks for the compliments. Survivor is looking more and more like a maindeck over the Exarion now.

I use 3 Trunades for the extra surprise hit, and also MAJOR abuse with SORL and Premature Burial. Ever swarm with Premature? It's great fun.

I really like Nimbles here. They have saved me many times, boosting my lifepoints and providing defense/tributes for Level 6. However if someone has suggestions on what to replace them with, I will listen! Spell Shield Type 8 is a new addition to my sideboard, and will help protect against the threat of Nobleman of Crossout.

Book of Moon over Scapegoat sounds good as well.

Why Luster Dragon? Why not. It's a dragon, 1900 Normal beatstick, and both of my copies are the 1/e original Ultra Rares. It's a personal touch. Plus, combos well with Curse of Anubis. With a Luster and a well played Curse of Anubis, I can take down anything. Even use it as an offensive weapon.

I will take a look at both decks, thanks again for the advice!

Dump the Luster Dragons in favor of Spear Dragon. Sure they go to DEF after attacking, but they combo much better with Curse of Anubis than Luster Dragon does. Also consider dropping Lightning Vortex for a third Smashing Ground. Most of the time Vortex is used to take out only one monsters, so why not make it 1 for 1 instead of 2 for 1. Side deck Vortex if you take it out however, dunno for what. One of my greatest curiosities here is where are the Messenger of Peace? They combo so well with Horus LV6 and can annoy your opponent more so than Horus LV8 at times. I think I'd drop all three Giant Trunades for two MoPs and use the extra spot to put in Scapegoat or Book of Moon, well the one you aren't already using that is. I dunno how much you've played Horus before, but the biggest problem lately is your opponent ramming D.D. Assailants into your LV6 or LV8 while you have Decree on the field since you most likely wont have anything to stop the attack, just soemthing to think about there.

I never thought of Messenger of Peace. Unfortunately, I don't have any. I'll have to make a stop at the card shop before Saturday and look for a few cards. I see the strategy behind that. I don't think I'll drop all three Trunades though...

D.D. Assailant is going to be the biggest problem - you nailed it.

I've only got one Spear Dragon, so I might split with 1 Luster Dragon and 1 Spear Dragon.

Also, what do you think about Stamping Destruction? I kinda don't like it.

I've been playing Horus for a long time now, I went 5-3 at Shonen Jump in Seattle with it.

Heh, so you did. Guess I overlooked your sig when I wrote that up. Anyways, I think Stamping Destruction is good, but only in a pure dragon deck. In other words, I probably wouldn't use it. I'd say try to get the second Spear Dragon, shouldn't be that hard instead of splitting between the two.

Ok.

I have to say first. Very VERY nice Horus Deck. Looks to be quite consistant.

Personally, i would drop LV4 to 2 (although im my horus deck, i dropped them down to 0-1 and focused on LV6), but i'd say that 2 should be enough. You could then replace that with the Exiled Force that you took out for the Reaper.

Antoher thing that was mentioned was the fact that DDA/DDWL/DDW will be a threat to be reckoned with. I think thats where MoP comes in handy, but personally, i'd say the use of Enemy Controller(s) would be nice there.

Also, have you ever gave Interdimensional Matter Transporter anythoughts? They could save your LV8 from an Exiled Force or DDA/DDWL/DDW attack.

Just some thoughts for you to ponder over. But i gotta say again, nice deck.

Thanks for the compliments. This deck is by far my most consistent (won a tournament against a couple of top 8 Regionalists with an earlier version - my best performance ever).

I have used Interdimensional Matter Transporter before. It was a staple in my Horus deck (2 for 2 LV8's) for a long time before they were replaced by the Royal Decree's (I went 5-3 without Royals or Morphing Jar). And unfortunately IMT does not work against DDWL. I'm not sure why exactly but when I heard the ruling it made sense.

Enemy Controller's are unavailable to me at present, so I might have to go after Messenger of Peace. I am liking that thought more and more. Now I have to decide what to take out. I want to keep at least 2 Trunades in there, because they are a key to attacking with Level 4, 6, 8 etc. and would combo great with MoP if I have a Level 8 out for a big hit.

So to recap, I'm pondering MoP, but what should I take out?

If I can't find MoP, I'll use Swords of Concealing Light as a substitute.

So far I need to find by Saturday to complete this: 2-3 MoP, 2 D.D. Survivor (I have one, need 2 more for my sidedeck).

I won't be able to get to your deck tonight, but I will tomorrow. I gotta get up for work at 5:30 in the morning. :(

2 sided for what? massive rfg? a good player wouldnt be playing their dds rfg-ers against that deck until you fielded a horus or they had to, the same applies to Exiled Force. Make sure you can survive your dead draws and you ll do fine.

D.D. Assalaints run rampant in my meta, and I need to be prepared for them. I might take it down to 1 maindecked and 1 sidedeck.

Tips on surviving dead draws would be good too (lol). That is a weakness sometimes with Horus - balance between dead draws and pure speed.

I'm keeping the 3 Level 4's - to me a Horus deck isn't really a Horus deck without them (yes, I'm a bit of a purist). Plus the fact that they can't be taken control of is always nice.

I'll think about Gravekeeper's Spy over Nimble's, however. That might not be a bad idea.

What I am saying is that they will be more likely to suicide their DDs into your horus than setting them. GK spy is umm no? People going crazy over that tech is just bleh.

Hmm, ok. So you think 1 Survivor would be enough?

So it looks like I need to go get 2x Messenger of Peace by Saturday.

So: -1 SORL , - 1 Scapegoat/Book of Moon

- 1 Exarion

+1 Survivor

+ 2x Messenger of Peace

- 1 Curse of Anubis

+ 1 Royal Decree (if I get it before Sat)

How's that look?

And Judicator do you have a deck you want me to look at?

No, I don't post my decks online, it takes me awhile to perfect a deck (somewhere around 2-4 months for major tweaks and another month or so for minors). One Survivor seems kind of pointless coming out of the board.
