Need help with my gravekeeper's deck for tournament

Hey dude, like the deck but heres some things from an old Grave Keepers man himself:

Take out the Gravekeeper's Chiefs, The End of Anubis, Gravekeeper's Cannonholder, Gravekeeper's Guards, Charm of Shabti, Night Assailant, United We Stand, Mage Power, and the Divine Wrath.

Heres what to add: 2 Mobius the Frost Monarchs, 2 Mystic Tomato's, Breaker the Magical Warrior, D. D. Warrior Lady, Newdoria, and for the last two monsters you could try something like a Helpoemer, Guardian Sphinx, or a Don Zaloog.

For the Spells: Try a couple of Smashing Grounds. These will help to clear out the field.

And for the Trap: add another Rite of Spirit.

And you can't really fully help someone out with out a few pointers, never forget that Gravekeeper's are a form of swarm, so you will need good access to both front and back field removal. Try playtesting this deck out with proxies with your friends if you can't get a hold of the cards, but in general most of these cards are now easy access for the most part. Good luck with the deck man.

Y'know, I'm not much good at GKs, but I've always found it fun to summon Cannonholder, summon Curse for 500 damage, play Last Will, then tribute Curse for 700, use Last Will to summon a new Curse for 500, then tribute it for 700 more. Lotsa fun.

GK burn is fun indeed, but needs the deck slanted more that direction to take full advantage. That said, a single cannonholder can be a suprise, and helps get past those last few LP, especially if you find yourself against stall. Mostly I have my cannonholder in my side deck these days.

Chief is worth having, but imho only one. My three tributes are chief, Ha Des and The End of Anubis. I have mobius for side deck, but rarely use it.

Charm of Shabti really isnt that effective, and I have tried it.

magicians circle is just too nice to ignore- GK decks usually swarm well, but with magicians circle it gets crazy. 3 rites of spirit are essential, and consider both Desert Sunlight and Ready for Intercepting for fun with the spy.

I've played Gravekeeper's off and on for a long time now, and I've learned a lot about them.

First off, they are super vulnerable to burn, and any deck that runs Level-Limit and Gravity Bind. Therefore, Mobius is badly needed in a Gravekeeper deck. Also, I helped two of my teammates build Gravekeeper's decks, and they seem to think Jinzo is a good idea. However I strongly disagree with that. Its anti-synergetic. Protecting your Necrovalley is important, so Magic Drain and Solemn Judgement are cool, but at the same time don't rely on it. You deck seems like a solid start. These are my suggestions:

-2 Gravekeeper's Chief
-1 End of Anubis
-3 Cannonholder's
-1 Charm of Shabati
-1 United We Stand
-1 Mage Power
-1 Trap Hole

+2 Mobius the Frost Monarch
+2 Mystic Tomato
+1 Newdoria
+1 Don Zaloog
+2 Smashing Ground
+1 Dust Tornado

Try that out, and I think you'll notice some real changes.

I would have to agree with that, hence I posted like the same thing XD. But Mobius the Frost Monarch is a must.

Thanks everyone for the help. I do really agree on the Jinzo, nevertheless I have him in the side deck just in case a Gravity Bind deck appears.

I also agree with the Chief, he is a Greed tool for swarming and reviving, specially the assailants who are extreme hated around here.

In the past my idea has been to run as much grevekeeper's as i can, i don't know if that is a good idea. So far I win a lot more than what I lose.

Many of my defeats come because my opponents change their deck a lot. For example 3 Dust Tornado, 2 Mobius, Breaker, etc.

How can I deal with this?

I'm trying to get a Smashing Ground, Enemy Controller or Brain Controller and a secon Sakuretsu Armor.

What do you think about it?

Everyone chooses Mobius because he is almost guaranteed to grant you advantage. He's an auto 2-0 if he hits 2 s/ts, which he should. If they chain a BTH, he's still a 2-1

Factoring in the tribute, of course, it then becomes... 1-2, plus you lost your summon that turn...

And why the hate of Chief?

No Magician's Circles? And with 19 monsters in your deck? For shame..xD

never really thought about Magician's Circle. allthough the instant field advantage it gives seems decent on paper, most of the time your opponent will have the necessary removal to manage one extra monster anyways. at least they should be able to manage the game a little better, in a format where Dark Hole and such removal can turn the game completely around. I would have to test Magician's Circle before I would consider it an auto-include.

As I understand, everybody or at least the mayority of you prefer Mobius to Jinzo in this deck, right?

removal/destroy effects are almost always better than stall. so yes, mobius is superior in this way.

Then I shall get my hands on Mobius pretty soon. What about the GK Chief, how many should I run, considering i plan to run also a The End of Anubis, to negate effects of my opponent's searchers, such as Sangan?

if you're running EOA as well as mobius, then I suggest trying out 1 Gravekeeper's Chief. playing anymore tributes than that in this metagame, is just asking for bad hands.
