Negate Attack TSC-003

Negate Attack
Counter Trap

When your opponent attacks with a monster, negate the attack and make your opponent's Battle Phase end.

As we close this week, we have a card that doesn't see much play, but provides the best 1 turn protection in the game. While it lacks "Waboku"'s general chainability, it makes up for it by simply just ending your opponent's Battle Phase. They declare an attack, you flip this, it's now their Main Phase 2. The advantage to this is that your monsters won't be destroyed by battle effects (like "Mystic Swordsman LVx" or "Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke"). Also, since it is a counter trap, only another counter trap will be able to negate it.

Like "Waboku", it simply is a 1 turn stall, but sometimes that 1 turn is all you need. While "Waboku" may more flexible (and more readily available), "Negate Attack" can serve as a more effective stall for when you need it the most.

I play someone that runs these in multiples, players are better off running something else :\ It helps sometimes, but jinzo runs all over this, at least waboku activates (in draw, standby phases)

True, unlike Waboku this is unusable if your opponent has a Mirage Dragon or Pitch Black Warwolf on the field, so I tend to find Waboku a bit more usable.

also, i believe that you do not have to chain directly to the attack with negate attack, i may be wrong
