its happens, thats the thing about the decks that take alot of work.

heck, even agg with 3 trojans horse takes time to build apon.

try 3x Kaiser Sea Horse and that one card that when tributed you gain lp. or just the kaiser :D

I'll still stick with my Dark Magician deck and Spellcaster obsession. I've had some pretty good results with those themed decks and Zombie decks haven't proven to be much of a threat outside of Ryu Kokki. Not really worried about him.

I'll probably try these deck types out.

Warrior (Not Ben Kai nor the Toolbox kind)
Dark Realm (Strictly for fun)
Water Dragon (Fun Deck)
Elemental Heroes (Fun deck if the other warrior deck fails)

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, (even though its honestly never happened to me here.) but let's take a look at this. SJC Atlanta is this weekend, and what ever wins will be copied by medium level players all over the country. Its a sad sad situation, but only the top tier players of the country are creative and innovative. If you want to understand what I mean read my thread I'm starting after I post this. Now here's my opinion on some decks.

OTK Decks:
They suffer from being horribly unreliable and therefore won't see teir one play. By OTK I mean, Cyber OTK, Ben Kei, Last Turn, and Rescue Cat (Yes I threw Rescue Cat decks in there, what I'm crazy)

Warriors:
Honestly, they have a tendency to over extend themselves, and then you're finished by a good Dark Hole or Vortex. They need to play more conservativly to be tier 1.

Zombie's:
The most dangerous deck type today. Thanks to DDV and a few other things seeing as it was already tier 1, and its super strong.

Gravekeeper's:
They have one major weakness. Its also its greatest strength. Necrovalley. On the whole its slow to get that card, but once you have it, its game on and game over for the opponent.

Fiends:
Umm, Yeah I think enough has been said here.

Tomato Control:
I haven't heard anyone say anything about this deck type, but its very dangerous. One of my teammates played it this weekend, and beat out 3 Gravekeeper decks back to back. It was amazing. Its definitly something to keep in mind, and be feared.

All said and done we'll see the new Tier 1 after this Sat.

I would go a step further and say that whoever wins a large event will get copied. Simple as that.

Another thing, I do disagree with you on one point. Top tier players AREN'T the only ones creative and innovative. I've been beating originality into the minds of people on another site (Yu-Gi-Oh! Realms) for the past three years. I haven't made any serious progress and it's a war that has to be fought.

I've used some serious original methods to destroying opponent's decks rather fast, make them top deck quickly, and manage a decent size hand (roughly four cards). I'm not one of those top tier players and if people would stick with a deck concept they'll find out that it can be interesting to watch the results.

Mixing Magic Drain with Time Seal/Drop Off can be a huge benefit to you in terms of destroying your opponent's hand. I've tried it and it does a rather decent job. On top of that it also helps limit their options which is a great way to put even some of the best players in a bind against a weaker one.

There are a multitude of cards to choose from and people tend to just wait to copy whoever won a major event. This is how a large amount of players in this game (if not nearly all of them) got their skill (part, most, or all, whatever amount). Even during my first year as a player I copied someone's beatdown to get more of a feel of the game. To understand it more. Above all, so I could win. (Those were the good old days! xD)

Netdecking will be a process people will do in any card game. The only exception I could think of is if the card game is so challenging in deck building and game play that there wouldn't be a single deck dominate design.
