Next Shonen Promo: the Wicked Avatar

I just got it in the mail today! ^__^ The Wicked Avatar is the next promo for Shonen Jump Magazine. For those of you who are still in the dark, here's what it does:

The Wicked Avatar
Effect Monster (DARK/Fiend/Level 10/ATK ?/DEF ?)
This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set except by tributing 3 mosnters. Your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap cards until the 2nd turn after this card is Normal Summoned. The ATK and DEF of this card are 100 points higher than the monster with the highest ATK on the field (except "The Wicked Avatar").

That means 1 of two things

  1. There should be some fun decks with him popping up soon (S/T shutdown AND guarantee of highest ATK on the field? What's not to love?)
  2. There's only 1 more Wicked God left...Dark Dreadroute (Dreadroot)

I liked the suggestion that SJ gave of comboing this with pole position, as Dark Avatar will have the highest attack on the field...However, the three tributes might be problematic.
 
I thought that "Pole Position" was a bit bold, and that it might actually make the Avatar a disadvantage after its effect lets up. It just conflicts with my goal for it. I mean I believe it just needs a powerful way to get to the field, and then supported with plenty of monster destruction/protection.

Unfortunately, it usually clears your monster zones out good, and will have little follow up support. Your best bet is simply running "Divine Wrath"s as well as Noblemans, and a Special Summon only attribute monster to give support. With the right follow up it could very well be deadly.

Anyway, if I remember the effect of Dreadroute correctly, then I'd venture to state this is the most reliable and playable of these wicked gods.
