Equip Spell

You can only equip this card to a monster on your opponent's side of the field. When a monster destroys the equipped monster and sends it to the Graveyard as a result of battle, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the equipped monster.

At first glance this card seems to be as potent as a Ring of Destruction or Magic Cylinder. Damage equal to an opponents monster's attack.

However it jsut falls short of the strength of the others. Magic Cylinder and Ring of Destruction can break even in card advantage. Ring of Destruction can destroy an opponent's monster itself, and Magic Cylinder no only does damage, but it prevents damge too, and can likely save a monster if you're able to deal with your opponents monster next turn. Nitro Unit, unfortunately is just giving up one card to do some lifepoint damage, and since you'll have to destroy your opponents monster in battle, you might not be able to do as much damage as you would with Ring or Cylinder.

woah, that effect is completly different from the ocg.

the ocg translation i got was that it can be equiped to an opponents monster, and when the monster equiped with the card was destroyed it would deal damage.

i dunno about you, but thouse 2 seem way off. especially considering, that when i got the translation for FLM they were exactly the same as thouse for FLM-EN.

i smell fish.. but i dont see it. :(

either way, the card is good, thouse the effect now gets dummied and equal to a combo that is already in play with Creature Swap and multisearching.

this card just droped from super awsome to just plain what ever.

itll see play, just not alot.

i rather use that conversion device than this. atleast that i have a 1 in 6 chances that the monster will cost me 1 tribute, or no tribute.

unless that cards text gets changed to something outragouse and rediculous.
 
i have the same text as krazy kid... hmm...

well, assuming its that text, imagine this card + Ring of Destruction... lets see.. say you equip it to an... oh, mobius for example. after you ring mobius, your opponent loses 4800. what about Barrel Behind the Door? 7200 damage! thats a lot! (but a 3 card combo)

its an okay card.

3/5. Not the greatest art, but its okay. I mean, it looks like "nitro", but it looks more like scuba gear to me.
 
I liked it way better when i thought it was sangan type effect, (going to grave anyway)

the greatest use of this card now would be in large multiples. example.

Opponit Summons Berserk gorilla, you equip 3 nitro's to it, and cream it with a Injection. 7400 Damage,

and Yes Injection might, MIGHT, become more used, its ability to crush nearly any monster is going to be crucial to using nitro unit.
 
ya as CG comented, the combo is there, but it was more of a savior than it was anything else.

perse, i have my Giant Orc or better yet, i have my Kozaki Character (new monster that is 2400atk, 4 star, if kozaki leaves the field itll die) basically all i have to do, is equip it with a few units, and kill kozaki, or just plain attack and wait for my opponent to use Ring of Destruction on it.


it was much better than wavemotion cannon, it did what wave motion cannon couldnt do. FTK.

and how im seeing it, with the new "text" it really dumbs it down, by alot.

and so you dont see im crazy, ill post up the text that i got from Spikes and barron.

notice the add ons, may ONLY and sent and destroyed as a result of battle.

that completly makes the card weak.

by alot.

cause now its depending on what your opponent has not what you have.
 
wow, other than i just got to see the Nightmare trabadour promos. and the fact that you are prolly correct, we will just have to wait for the card to get released.

it can go both ways, since we do know that nothing is legit untill its officially released.

both ways it servers the same burn purpose.


also, the warrior deck is ben kai type warrior deck. :)
 
And the text is now official, the equipped monster is to be destroyed as a result of battle for Nitro Unit to activate.

Also its the Original attack of the monster that matters, so Fairy Box can do a large amount of damage in combo with this card.

I'm thinking Cat's Ear Tribe will work too, but some discussion right now, might suggest that it will only inflict 200 because Cat's Ear Tribe says to modify the original attack.
 
a pretty situational combo with that (look at SITUATIONAL carefully :°P)

special summon a Lava Golem and set a Waboku...let's say yor opponent doesn't get rid of the 3000 burning attakker and tryes to strike you...you activate Waboku , so no damage on your lp , then , on your turn , you equip the Lava guy with 3 nitro unit and strike it with Injection Fairy Lily....9400 dmg = he dies.

I posted this just because it's souds so funny. I know it's almost impossible to have those card in your hand and the luck for all of this to work but it's just too funny X°D.
 
I think my Fairy deck could make good use of this card.

Also, equip an opponent's big monster with Megamorph to halve the ATK of that monster (and make it easier to kill), equip Nitro Unit to the same monster and then destroy it and inflict the original ATK. Very nice.
 
That and it will come in handy with the plethora of Bark of Dark Rulers I run. Damage calculation will bring the monster down to par, only to have it explode in their face 8^D.

I'll have to eval this guy again. Especially now that I'm revamping some decks for use with the new cards and the like.
 
I just read the rulings on it as far as 'original attack' is stated. It's the damage done equal to what the ATK is in the graveyard....

E.G.

Gren Maju Garzet with Nitro= 0 Damage

BLS with Nitro Vs Fairy Box/Mirror Wall/Cats Ear Tribe=3000 damage plus battle.
