Not quite a mistake, but I remember being sooo impressed when an opponent discarded Blue eyes white dragon from their hand (probably via Magic Jammer) and then used Monster Reborn on it. The concept of dump/revive just hadnt occured to me back then...
Roflol. I used to think Tsukuyomi was a stupid card. I just couldn't see it having any potential outside of a hard core flipper deck. I simply had no concept of tech, field presence, or anything like that. Same with Mystic Swordsman LV2

When I first started, I was completely oblivious to the Restricted List. In other words, I was playing with 2 to 3 copies of Monster Reborn and Change of Heart. :beef:

Now that I look back on it, for a long time my whole area was rather n00bish, save 4 to 5 people. Then again, these were the same people that lied to everyone about rulings just to get an edge. Sakuretsu Armor doesn't stop the attack, Tyrant Dragon negates any Trap that responds to him in any way, Flip Effects trigger immediately when flipped face-up, Magic Cylinder cannot be chained to Mirror Force, etc. No wonder these people fell off the face of the Earth, lol.

i didn't really make many noobish mistakes only cuz of the people i played with knew the game and rules, but i do remember acting like a noob thinking how bad Exchange was but i had to run it to make my deck legal cuz i forgot a card at home that day but then i entered in a tournament and i gave some guy my Witch of the Black Forest and took his Raigeki and got second place cuz of it

i have never made a noob mistake cuz i am actully teh l33t sauce at teh yugimons.

Hehe, my n00b mistake. Well the most recent two I can think of are the ones I made against John when we played for fun after the EEN Sneak Preview.

I attacked his Legendary Jujitsu Master with a monster then attacked the same Jujitsu with my other monster. Knowing fully that it's Jujitsu Master. T_T

Another time was when I used Snatch Steal on his Guardian Sphinx and forgot to use the effect so he gained 2000 life points basically for free while he held me off with Fairy Box.

I get too distracted in fun games. @_@ Hope that doesn't happen to me during my first regional!!

Everytime I play "Creature Swap" and end up taking my opponent's face-down monster, I ALWAYS try to Flip Summon it that turn! For some stoopid reason, I can't get it in my head that it's not allowed!...lol.

For me it was running a deck with about 120-200 cards at my first tournament, they were all the best cards but I only got one win out of 6 with it for reasons which are now quite obvious to me.

Have a friend who when dueling me summoned Spell Canceller and then equiped it with Mage Power, I looked at him for a minute before he realised why I was looking at him funny.
