Didn't see a FET pull thread yet, so I thought I'd just start one.

Bought a box on the way home from work today, here's what I got:

Gearfried the Swordmaster - Ultra
Silent Swordsman LV5 - Ultimate
Gatling Dragon - Ultimate
Behemoth the King of All Animals - Super

A Feather of the Phoenix - Super

Overall, not a bad haul...but still no Vortex for me... <cries>
 
I got a box of FET, and pulled this:

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys (Ultra Rare)

A Feather of the Phoenix (Super Rare)

I can never afford boxes. They cost too much money. I don't even buy packs anymore. All i try to do is trade and rip people off the most I can.

  • Wow, 9 holos from a single box? Not bad at all.

    As for expensive, I got my box for $73 plus tax. Nice n' cheap from a local store that is really only into M:TG. There's another place that sells boxes for ~$65 since almost all of their business is in sports cards, but they hadn't gotten any FET in yet. But I might head over there next week after my tax returns come in...gotta get the Vortex before 4/1. :D
 
If I bought a box, I'd buy it online, most likely, it's much cheaper than buying packs singularly, either at $4 from a store chain, or $4.50 from a convenience store. Not to mention the fact there's no card shops in my area at all, I don't have much of a choice, but even with shipping, I can get a 1st. Edition box for less than $80 still. That's still far much less than paying $4 a pack, thankfully I got most of my cards from the FET Pre-Release, where I did pick up a Granmarg the Rock Monarch, for anyone wondering, since it was said noone's seen one yet.

The only things I'd really still want would be tough to get anyway. An Ultimate King Dragun and an Ultimate Gatling Dragon. Still need 3 A Feather of the Phoenix too, though, since I didn't get any of them, but that will have to wait a while.
 
I was completely put off buying any cards from these SOD triology, those annoying ultimates take up valuable ultra and super slots so I ebayed myself the cards I needed.

Not if you buy from Hobby boxes. I pulled the equivalent of three Ultras from the box I bought yesterday (1 Ultra & Two Ultimate versions of other Ultras). Can't really complain about that. But I agree, retail Ultimate versions of regular rares are always disappointing.
 
I bought 5 packs, and I am definately satisfied with what I got.

Behemoth the King of All Animals - Super Rare- Potential trade bait should beast decks start to catch on

Brain Jacker - Rare - I run a Bad Rection to Simochi burner, so I will actually consider putting this in my deck. Of course, unlike Snatch Steal, it would count towards my summons that turn, and it only does half the damage (BRtS), so I don't think it will go in, I will still consider it though.

Lightning Vortex - Super Rare - It may or may not end up in my deck, and even if it doesn't, its "new Raigeki" reputation could get me a nice trade or two for it.

Assault on GHQ - Rare - Probably won't see much play in my current deck. Still worthy of an honorable mention though, as I may (although doubtfully) put in in my deck to combo with Spear Cretins once I have gotten a lockdown on my opponent...

Deck Devastation Virus - Ultimate Rare - My first card ever of this rarity! Also, the current closest thing to Crush Card Virus. And I'm hoping that when that comes out (hopefully not in the same manner as Cyber Stein), I can trade this for an ultimate Rare CCV (with maybe a card or two to pay interest, as I would expect CCV to be more sought after than this...)
 
Eh, only 1 pack so far for me. My wife bought me a box but I won't be able to get my hands on that till after work. But so far from the one pack

Okay, so I got home and opened the box last night and this is what I ended up getting out of it.
