How's it going.

I think I know the answer but I want to run it by you all. Ok player 1 summons Pyramid Turtle, attacks my Kycoo, through the effect of Pyramid Turtle, special summons Vampire Lord. Now, refresh my memory. Can Player 1 attack with Vampire Lord, being a new creature on the field?

Greg

Since it would be special summoned during the Battle Phase yes, they can attack with any monsters summoned in the Battle Phase which have not yet attacked (reborning a monster which died attacking an opponents monster earlier in the battle phase resets this for that monster, i.e. it may attack even though, technically, it already attacked, as it is taken as being a different monster).

Yes. Its very common to ram your opponents monster with Pyramid Turtle, summon another Pyramid Turtle and ram it again, then summon another Pyramid Turtle and ram your opponent again. Of course, this is HIGHLY recommended with 1 or 2 "The Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" face-up on the field, and a few Book of Life's.

Of course, you may not want to do it With Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer because even though he cant use his effect on the monster destroyed by him during that attack, he can still remove monsters from previous attacks or turns, and you want to have monsters to reborn, or you cant use Book of Life.

my favourite combo so far is:
suicide pyramid turtle for vampire lord, attack with vampire lord, activate deck destruction virus and destroy vampire lord, then activate call of haunted vampire lord to attack again! :D

So I can declare an attack destroy his/her only monster then CoH and attack there life points directly in the same battle phase? I understand when your opponent attacks you activting CoH causes a replay. But if you activate during your on battle phase I thought you when to MP 2.

Yep. You could suicide a monster against their equal Atk monster and then CotH it to attack directly with it.
No, it's no different to activating any other trap during the battle phase, you're getting confused with playing a non-quickplay spell card. So you can activate any correctly set & timed trap and (provided it's effect has nothing to the contrary) remain in the Battle Phase.

You just need to be wary as to whether or not your trying to activate the trap in the Damage Step. If it is the Damage Step then you just can't (talking about non-counters and non-ATK/DEF modifiers here.) But most Traps can be actvated during your Battle Phase unless they specifically say otherwise or are being prevented from activating somehow.
